Well firstly my EP8 gives a more "push-bike" feel than my Gen 2 Bosch did; if you understand what I mean.
Secondly, I don't think you are pushing the motor, but you are pushing an internal gear set, plus an extra 2kg for motor, plus same again or more for battery, plus same for heavy frame, plus...
I hear you Steve. Just cannot figure why H2 struggles as a way forward. Especially in Australia where we could deploy massive arrays of solar panels with 300+ days of sunshine a year to make it (yeah water is scarce but plenty of desert close to the south western coasts). Gotta be special...
Indeed, but I still get the occasional wally have a go at me for not ringing it - Usually the ones who are all over the path and not paying attention.
I figure if they can't hear the tyres and the hub ratcheting, they won't hear a bell.
I have a Sight VLT and while this has not happened for me, the magnetic coupling of the battery worries me a little. Gotta be a potential issue with the magnetic terminals picking up stray crap that interferes with the connection. Have you checked and cleaned the connections?
Because it's a forum and people maybe just want to have a friendly conversation and maybe get a simple answer and some encouragement at the same time? Isn't that the intent of a forum?
...or should a newbie be ridiculed for innocently asking a question certain experts deem obvious?
If you can't...
I'd just buy the Parktool. Unless you have a workshop with tools you can drill and tap thread to 90.0 degrees accuracy, it's useless.
My previous bike had SRAM and was flawless until one day, and no matter how many times I adjusted according to instructions, it was dodgy. Parktool was not...
I had very similar symptoms....did the usual seat post and rails, headset, cables but cured it (no doubt temporarily) by showering the rear suspension linkages and shock with a gentle hosing. I guess dust gets in there. If I didn't avoid using water as much as possible it probably would not occur.
Is it a Maxxis? My front Maxxis has similar but the 6 Nobby Nic's I put on my previous bike were fine. Not something I am worried about even though it is right in front of me but I think I'll fit Scwalbe in future. Someone commented recently it is a common Maxxis issue.
I try to avoid washing and don't go in rain or mud but - and help me out here because I have not heard this from anyone else here - after a few dusty outings the suspension linkages get really creaky and a shower from the hose sorts it. Similarly the brakes quiet down too.[emoji848]
I thought Oakley sunglasses came free when you bought the massive windscreen sticker back in the 90s. May have been a localised Australian tosspot phenomenon...
I have some old Wiley-X with a 2* magnifying bifocal arrangement.
Ah well if the ball bearings have gone you may as well go cartridge. There's been a few threads here about replacing them. For some reason Cube didn't put grease in there...maybe it all went in their food.[emoji1787]
Just jokes... I love German food...and beer.
What's wrong with them Beekeeper? I had similar bike for almost 3 years/6000km. Greased from new and once more, no problems.
Maybe because I've had so many old motorcycles with caged ball bearings, not sure why they are so maligned on pushbikes. No negative commentry here, just asking.
