I use 44t DECKAS chainring on my emtb for the same reasons you describe plus that i run de-restricted. Chainring is narrow/wide and i use it without any chainguard without any problem. Change every 5000 Km...

I agree with you, i also have been using their products for 7 years on 5 different bikes and has been working without any problem. Support is also Excellent. People do not know them well because they sell chips themselves. THEY DO HAVE FOR BOSCH SMART MOTOR , not with rim magnet.

I totally agree with you. I am on my 3rd Cube ebike. Most people like exotic names and pecculiar geometry when the best value for money and bikes they do it all belong to CUBE.

Coming from a Motocross background myself, i suggest that the only way to fully enjoy an emtb is to buy a full fat and derestrict it. Be careful, BOSCH SMART SYSTEM with rim magnet cannot be derestricted.

Ask if anyone with Badass reached 1000KM after installation. Be carefull . People respond about the old, easy to derestrict bosch system, make sure that thet are talking about the new bosch smart system. (people that sell the chip do not count)

I would try externally the place where the square is, in the picture. If it works you can place it inside through the battery opening. (If you try it in all different locations and it does not work you have to amplifie the magnetic field)
