Is your pre-load screw at the end of the screw thread when it starts touching the spring ? Because mine start touching the spring when it is screwed half way already, that's why I am considering getting a spring a bit bigger, like 2.6 instead of 2.4.
I saw those VALT progressive springs, I'm...
Oh I am sure that my actual spring rate is wrong. I have to find a bigger one, I just wanted to know which one.
Thank you for your help, I will keep an eye for a 600x2.4 or 2.8.
I see, thank you for the explanation, very useful.
By 2.4 or 2.8 I meant the coil travel (or length), because with the 450x2.4 actually on, the pre load adjuster is only at the middle of its screw, so I guess I could also go with a longer coil, like 2.8 ? Or would that mess with the whole...
Thank you Doomanic! What is the difference between « Single pivot / DW Link » and « 4 bar / VPP » , I don’t understand what those things mean ?
And as the coil coming with the shock is 2.4, am I still ok to get a 2.8 ?
Hi there,
Since I do not seem to find any good info on the net about spring rate, I’ll try asking you guys !
I just received and installed my new Fox DHX2, which came with a 450x2.4 spring.
I am 95kg with equipment, and the SAG with this coil is at ~20mm, when it should be at ~15/16mm according...
Hi there !
Hope you are all doing alright due to this exceptional time.
I’ve got a little problem on my 2019 turbo Levo : the rear brake hose is touching the rear wheel spokes, as shown on the picture bellow.
I obviously tried to push it further in the frame from the bottom, and pull it out...
Thanks @Intermtb, I had already set my fork almost like you suggested, I have 7 clicks out, and 110 PSI. For the shock I have to tune the rebound, but the sag is at 25%. I am 6'5, 85kg, so maybe 93kg with riding gears.
Thank you for your answers guys, I feel much better knowing all that now, and you are all right. Thank you @Bryan Wells for your feedback as a pro, appreciate that. I guess you just saved me some money and hassle! Now I guess I just need to understand correctly how those things work and set them...
Hey, so I recently bought my first E-MTB, a Specialized Turbo Levo Expert from 2019 and I'm thrilled !
Though I have a doubt about the "high level" components, mainly the suspensions it came with : a Rockshox Pike RC29 and a Rockshox Deluxe RT3.
Now if I look around, all the other "high level"...
Mmh I see, then I won't know for sure. The only thing you could easily do is to measure the distance between the end of the crank and the floor, when completely straight to the floor, and change the setting, as it seems fairly easy to do. Then you'll know in which setting you are.
Hi, sorry to dig this one out. I'm trying to understand the benefits of being on the high or low setting, appart from the 5mm clearance in high, what would be the other factors for changing this setting ? Size/weight of the rider ? Type of ride ? For info I'm 6'5 and 95kg with equipment, riding...
