I've owned a 2020 Trance E+3 for 2 years and about 1,800 miles. In that time the bike has been faultless and despite some geometry issues which do not suit me (long torso-short legs) it has been an absolute pleasure to own. On the strength of this, 12 days ago I collected a 2022 Reign E+2...
Could there be a tolerance issue between your bike's connectors (male) and your battery's (female)? I'd try bending the male connectors slightly to one side in an attempt to achieve an interference fit.
This has me concerned!
I've had my 2020 Trance E+3 for 2 years and 1700 miles. Zero issues except that after around 600 miles the motor became quite noisy. Despite this it continues to work well with total reliability. Other than the specified tolerance, there is no play or apparent wear in the...
At this moment the new Reign isn't even mentioned on the UK site! Perhaps the prelude to a continuation of poor parts support (e.g. batteries for current models are like rocking horse manure in the UK).
The better geometry for steep downhills, smaller motor for ground clearance and larger...
"Thanks to brexit" and not being tied to the failing Euro it should come out at around £6,200 for the E+0. Anything substantially more and it will be Giant UK taking the p#ss and my cue to shop elsewhere.
After yet another frustrating day trying to find somewhere interesting that wasn't blocked by frozen snow I took this after getting back to the car....
I'm sorry but it IS a chore. The button is too small and too close to other buttons for hassle-free operation when wearing thick gloves.
I agree, the default to on is probably considered by some to be a "safety" feature but anyone needing confirmation that their lights are on is beyond help anyway.
As a programmer myself I'm fully aware of what default options are available. But we can disregard my opinion completely and just note that previous versions of the app did not switch lights on by default.
I don't disagree with your first paragraph. No lights will probably mean no current draw but why have it in the first place.
Regarding your second paragraph, using a secondary app completely negates the worth of Ride Control.
