If you look at c/duro they are owned by a company that actually purely makes these carbon tubes like Atherton use. They make them in all sorts of shapes, and have a proto e bike with the battery in the down tube that is also glued/lugged to CNC alloy housings

I have a mix of these and the steady racks. The steady racks are way more expensive but worth it imo. The ones above really dont allow you to move the bike out of the way if you ahve multiples hung up

There are literally tens of thousands of Shimano bikes out there. Once they are out of warranty if I had a choice of something more reliable I would be buying that to replace the shimano. Why would I spend £1k on another shimano motor knowing its probably only going to last a limited time? Thats...

I built a hardtail commuter bike around a bafang mid drive motor a few years ago. The motor was bombproof even at 160nm! Bafang need to make this motor fit existing shimano EP8 Frames and sell the swap kit for the out of warranty bikes

I think in the last few years there has been an influx of new riders that got used to prices being high on the used market. All that I see has happened is that the value of used bikes has gone back to what it always was, the issue being now that people are losing a small fortune as the prices...

June so I am told by the dealer....pretty annoyed about it. Also Shimano dont extend your warranty, so when it breaks and takes 3 months to sort you are 3 months down on your warranty. I think I might be done with ebikes after this one. Its not worth the hassle of not being able to ride.
