I don’t know the WTB tires to well, i do have a verdict the one on the pic. that tire i find works ok in wet, sandy or powdery Conditions anything other then that the tire to me feels like it has 10-15Psi i always feel like i have a flat riding that tire. Even with smaller 27.5x2.5 on a 34...

Ebike tire showdown. Michelin E wild vs Schwalbe Eddie Current

spoke to soon, yesterday at SkyPark just blasting berms and rear tire let go with a bang and pulled the bead cord right through the tire. the tire is a year old and has 50% tread warn and has had a pretty tough life and was at 40psi when it let go. She was a loud one.

Ebike tire showdown. Michelin E wild vs Schwalbe Eddie Current

Oh it depends on season, racing season high 185ish without gear to 215 in off season or i should say Covinated season. Lol Never weighed myself geared up. but i typically ride with just knee pads and light 1.5litre backpack

Ebike tire showdown. Michelin E wild vs Schwalbe Eddie Current

I can’t give you the answer to that as i do not have a bike with 29r rear i have ridden enough to feel confident in writing a review. All my current bikes are 650B rear and 29 front. race I’m running 2.6 Ewild, Rock bashing 2.8 Ewild or Eddie current. deep soft mud I’m sticking with 2.8 Ewild...

Ebike tire showdown. Michelin E wild vs Schwalbe Eddie Current

I’m on my 6th rear tire and have t had that happen yet, and my beater bike the tire is starting to check on sidewalks like it’s couple year old tire. Dry cracking or weather checking., tire is just over a year old and pretty warm so I’m not to unhappy. i do a review on the 29x2.6 front as i...

    E Wild rubber

i rode mikes bike and he has them mounted on 30 internals and it works well. He light rider so holds him well. I feel i need tad more sidewalk support so to keep my pressures lower i like the wider wheels better. but it’s much better then MM on a 30 that’s for sure

Well the Ewild Beatings continue, after 1500 plus miles on them i have still yet to be disappointed. rear tire has over 1000 miles on it and still holding up well. yesterday was no easy day for that old rear tire as she took on Downieville With fresh 29x2.6 up front. i don’t think i need to...

    E Wild rubber

I don’t know the release date on them. Michelin didn’t say, but rumor says early spring. I think once they get all the data back from the test tires they sent out. If everyone else has had same luck i have i can’t see the tire not ready for final run. haven’t had any issues so far.

There nothing like the eddy to mount that’s for sure. I was able to mount the 29er by hand no tools. Taking it off today and turned it to normal direction was easy with just single plastic spoon, that’s on a carbon wheel that eddy won’t go on without feeling like i brake the bead edge

    E Wild rubber

Just to to try all possibilities i ran Ewild up front yesterday mounted backwards,, i mounted it up by backwards by mistake so though oh hell let’s just try it out. It def has more grip running backwards but you loose fair bit of speed. So if speed isn’t an issue and full on grip is all your...

Ebike tire showdown. Michelin E wild vs Schwalbe Eddie Current

I put a butcher on front of my bulls evo and took it off two days later 27.5x2.8. Put it on rear and it died the same day. I didn’t mind it on rear was little weak in side wall which is what failed. but was not a fan of any kind of it on the front. member crashed so much as i did with that tire...

Ebike tire showdown. Michelin E wild vs Schwalbe Eddie Current

Although the front and rear share the same tread pattern the tire compound is softer on the front and the tires case is considerably lighter. in the 29er the front is 1300g and rear is 1018 g plus or minors a few G’s each. I have run them swapped and destroyed the rear quite quickly with front...

How to bulletproof a hardtail "tail"- will DT Swiss rims and E-Wilds do it?

I run the cushcore in rear so i can get bellow 40psi and not damage wheel as easily. I’m still a mass murderer of rear hoops but the new Ebike spec tires and cores have more then doubled my rear hoop life. My vision just isn’t what it used to be and i hit a lot of stuff 2-4” tall heavy on bike...
