    Arthritic Knees.

Seem to have lost a few degrees flex since the operation 4 years ago That loss of a few degrees makes a big difference. Doesn’t stop me riding just done 25 muddy miles this morning. I do have to keep messing around with the dropper seat height as my knee warms up Yes think a physio is the best...

    Arthritic Knees.

I am doing some stretches and bends which is beginning to increase flex, but not by a lot. Probably need to go see a physio and get some exercises designed for that purpose.

    Arthritic Knees.

I have gone for shorter crank arms ie 150mm. Got them at a good price so worth seeing if that makes a difference. Recently bought new flat pedals which are quite large so a bit reluctant to sink nearly £200 in another pair. Might have a rethink if all else fails. Thanks all for the responses...

    Miranda Cranks

Been waiting since 10:30 this morning for a reply from Miranda's online chat .. so not impressed with their customer service. I will get the 150mm. Not sure which Q Factor I need and they have yet to answer.

    Miranda Cranks

Hi I ride a 2024 Cube Stereo 140 TM 750 (Bosch Gen4) and having ridden my mates bike with 150mm cranks which eased some of the discomfort with my old knees, I now want to fit shorter cranks to my Cube which came with 165mm. The Miranda website refers to 2 types for the 150mm one is Q Factor...

    Arthritic Knees.

Good luck with the new knee. My other knee will no doubt need doing in few years. Post op, if you do the exercise and perhaps a bit more once it gets stronger you won’t have a problem. Mine has been great and had no issues in 4 years Even the consultant was surprised at the progress. I...

Thanks for the link, indeed they are expensive and doesnt appear to be any direct UK source. Looks like its from the USA only. There are some on ebay at £200. Gulp !!!!

165mm. Just looking for shorter cranks, seems that 155mm is the shortest. so only 10mm difference. I fitted 155mm Hope cranks to my outgoing Levo which was 175mm and that did make a difference. Apparently I need ISIS Gen 4 or something of that nature.

    Arthritic Knees.

Thanks for the reply, I am used to it after 4 years or so. Just wondered if there was something I should be considering as an option - shorter cranks !!, certainly more flex exercise. One negative is that the foot sticking out further does clobber the occasional rock.

    Arthritic Knees.

I have arthritis in both knees and have had one knee replaced, the flex on this replaced knee is just enough to get me over the top on a pedal stroke. However, I do need to place my foot more central on the pedal as opposed to being on the front of the foot. Though not ideal, I have been doing...

Jacket to take the chill off.

I live downhill from you guys in Cumbria, so not as tough. Something lighter than the MT500 and a bit more than a jersey would possibly work for me. :):)

Jacket to take the chill off.

Hi The weather is getting better here in the UK but still gets a bit nippy when out of the sun or up high in the Peaks. Looking for recommendations for a jacket that doesnt have to be waterproof, more windproof and takes the chill off when the temperature is around 16 degress. If I get too...

    Do I stick or twist.

Ha, dangerous thing is that GAS. I reckon cyclists, golfers and certainly photographers have lofts full of redundant kit. :) I have arthritis in my knees and shoulders, I ride regularly and dont suffer that much as I dont go daft anymore. Very Miss Daisy. Any purchases I make these days are...

    Do I stick or twist.

Thanks for the responses, much appreciated and confirmed some of my own thoughts. As I got older (and wiser) I never really jumped on board with the marketing hype. I also do photography and the terminology for chasing the best tech is called GAS. Gear Acquisition Syndrome. "I need this to...

    Do I stick or twist.

I have a nearly 4 year old 2019 Levo Comp, the warranty runs out on its 4th birthday. Normally I would change bikes before it gets to that age, Covid, job security and stretched funds forced a different buying habit. Move on 18 months and I am now looking at options, do I stay with what I have...

Thats great news, unfortunately not everyone's experience seems to be as good as yours. Hope it continues for you :):)

Levo Gen 2 Moving away from Specialized.

Ergo my suggestion that testing needs to be done in all climates not just the sunny hills of California. it’s not like the UK is short of talent and people that would be prepared to test bikes and I mean testing that commensurate with all skills and ages in all conditions. Maybe they are...

Levo Gen 2 Moving away from Specialized.

Issue for me turned out to be a duff battery Unfortunately not covered by warranty so now out of pocket by £550. I did get a 700 kwh battery for that so not too disappointed It is quite appalling that bike manufacturers continue to churn out their goods with quality control issues, especially...
