Had a dealer tell me today that Spec can now see if a bike has been derestricted. Said one of his customers had a motor claim and Spec could tell him the exact date it had the chip plugged in and the warranty claim was to be rejected. Any truth to this or scare mongering?
I come in at 103kg naked at the moment and just fitted some fox 38's to my comp alloy.
Spec/fox say to go 2 out from closed on LSR and 1 out on HSR and 115 PSI, 10LSC and 5HSC
that seems like a lot of rebound damping, seems very slow. Does that sound correct?
finally decided on going with the ohlins 210 x 55 shock, just working out what spring rate I should go for.
TFT calculator suggests 630lb, Ohlins suggest 640lb.
How does that compare to what other Ohlins users are using around my same weight?

Found a dealer selling a used 19 expert for 9.2k (11.5k new here in Aus).
Other option is buy a new base comp, fox 36, Öhlins coil, fox dropper, 650b rear wheel for not much more initially then upgrade brakes later. I do like the yellow colour better than the expert colour.
