I use the Bikehut 1600 lumens one from Halfords. Cost me £45 with BCC discount and it works a treat.

    MTB Shorts for Fat Boys?

I am 116kg and Endura Humvee ll are perfect. I bought the XXXL when I was 127kg but since getting my Giant Trance, I have lost a heap of weight. Might have to look at a pair of XXL soon as I continue to lose weight.

Best Way To Carry E Bike by Car?

I would say so. I put a Giant Trance e and my mate's XL Powerfly on my Thule XT3 Easyfold with no issues. I would recommend the 3 bike model over the 2 though for a couple e of reasons: 1. The carrier bar is higher on the 3 bike one(I think this makes mounting bikes easier, personally) 2...

    Goggles with spectacles

Sounds like a visit to chat to them for me. I'm a tight Lancashire lad so like a bargain too!

    Goggles with spectacles

Thanks for this. Might have to investigate these. Did you get them from an opicians or just take your prescription to an Oakley dealer?

    Goggles with spectacles

Do these give you peripheral vision, for example looking over your shoulder?

    Review Fidlock Twist 600 Bottle

I think as the market for ebikes expands rapidly, there will be new players coming in to the matket. At least, we can hope. Or Giant will make backwards compatible batteries of a higher wattage.

    Review Fidlock Twist 600 Bottle

Thanks for that swift reply. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I had been looking at another thread for a booster battery (probably don't make them for my Giant anyway though!) I thought a contributor had said that the booster is about the same weight as a full water bottle. Maybe one day...

    Tow bar ebike rack

I have the Thule Easifold 3 bike rack and have to agree that it is heavy. However, this is the easiest rack to put on and off I have ever used. I roll it out of the garage as it has wheels (nice touch, given its weight) and place it on the ground behind the tow ball. The plug can be easily...

    What locks you using

Cost me about £118 for both locks in the sale at Halfords (still on offer) with extra 10% for BCC membership. Both SS Gold so satisfy my insurance. I think that is good value personally. They review well (especially the 540 in terms of weight of lock vs attack success. At the end of the day...

    What locks you using

When I need to leave my bike (even only for a few minutes) I use the following: Abus Granit XPlus 540 D-Lock securing the frame and the back wheel as well as the Abus Granit 53 D-Lock Combo Pack securing the frame and the front wheel with the cable through the rear wheel, frame and seat to the...

Where to clamp emtb on a repair stand?

Thanks guys. Makes me feel a whole lot better! I can hold the bike in both hands to find the balance point and then tighten clamp to the frame. Didn't much fancy holding the bike in one hand (no superpowers here!) whilst tightening up the clamp. Woud've been fine with my CX bike but not my...

Where to clamp emtb on a repair stand?

Hi guys, Have a Giant Trance E+1 pro which has a dropper post. Bit wary about clamping around the dropper part of the seat post in a repair stand but folks say not to clamp the frame. Just pulled the trigger on a Feedback Sports Pro Elite stand. Looking forward to recieving it but wondered...

    Bikepacking on an emtb?!

Difficult with a full suspension bike of any variety. If you are wanting to do some serious bike packing, forget a full sus emtb. Get yourself something like a Surly Long Haul Trucker and load it up!

    MTB Clothing

Sorry, you said "if you look like this in lycra" I read it initially as, "if you like looking at this in lycra, fill your boots" In second case I certainly will?
