The Bullit has allowed me to overcome the arthritis in both my knees. When one of my knees starts to give out, I bump up a power level step until I recover, then bump it back down. I set the STEPs to have 6 power levels and spend most of my time between level 3 and 4. Hit 5 a couple times...
I love everything about my Bullit but the code r brakes and the basic Fox 38 fork. Looking at the Mavens or Hayes for an upgrade and also the new fox Xgrip2 damper internals for the fork.
Love the updates. The Bullit is such a rad bike. I think after this season I'll be looking at swapping out the air shock for coil and probably replacing the Code brakes with Saints or the Hayes A4. Still trying to find the sweet spot with the air shock to make it more supple. Next ride I'll...
I've found Ergon saddles to be of huge help to me. I recently tried the the Ergon Core line of saddles which were a huge improvement. The E-mtb version was comfy, but I didn't like the pronounced lip at the back so I switched to the standard SMC core version. Still very comfy and the reduced...
Google translate helped me on the Amygos website. He and I also messaged via his web page and messenger. His English is very good where my high-school French had long been forgotten. I did not order the engine guard though it appears outstanding. I did purchase the chainstay guard and can...
The Amygos chainstay guard arrived today! I wrapped the stay with some 3M heavy duty electrical tape for a little paint protection before I snapped it on. It fits perfectly and feels bombproof. It was worth the wait and shipping cost! Thanks again for the tip!
Surprised a pair of young moose on my ride last weekend. I stayed behind the tree for the pic. Thought they were too old for momma to be near, but didn't feel like getting stomped.
Good advice for sure. I do the same thing with my Toyota when I rebuild the coilovers. I'll probably stick with the Rockshox coil to keep thi ga simple, but I am an Ohlins fan boy for my motorcycles.
Had an interesting visit with my LBS today. I had that E203 error code after updating the motor via the E Tube app, but the bike was running perfectly. My mechanic plugged the bike in and found that an error code had been logged in the system at the exact time I downloaded/installed the...
I'm about to order that chainstay protector, but unfortunately shipping to USA is going to be even more than the price of the guard. About $70 total. I'm leaning towards trying some to the rubber RideWrap chainstay protector tape. Does the Amygos stick pretty securely to the chainstay? It...
Hey everyone,
Been riding my Bullit for a couple months now and absolutely love it. My only issue has been an error code that popped up each of the 2 times I used the E-Tube app to install a motor update. The error code reads E203 and says the motor isn't going to function, but the bike...
I love this thread! Checks all the boxes...Bullit, FJ40, stickers and an awesome dog. I have an FJ Cruiser built up for wheeling and a significant problem with morale patches covering the interior.
On a side note, how has the seat stay protector been working for you? I want to add some...
