    Hertfordshire EMTB Groups

Hi guys. Lol here....I'm the guy Tim referred to about organising Epping rides for our group. We aim to ride most of the best bits of the north end of the forest most weeks and some of the southern end depending on the weather...the southern end is flatter (and muddier through the winter)... but...

Levo Gen 2 DtSwiss Centrelock hub compatability issues

Thanks snrbrtsn. I'll post here if my DIY filing makes the wheel spin without rotor rub?

Interesting that you think it really transformed the bike though...in what way in your view?

Levo Gen 2 DtSwiss Centrelock hub compatability issues

I may try filing the Shimano centrelock adapter a little bit more just to be sure but then that's it.....this has been a niggly little problem/costly mistake....and I think I've reached the end of the road (trail?) so to speak.

Levo Gen 2 DtSwiss Centrelock hub compatability issues

Thanks ...and yes I have bought that locking but it is the floating rotors thickness that seems to be causing my problem.

Levo Gen 2 DtSwiss Centrelock hub compatability issues

Interesting...I'll take s look but these wheels are costing me a fortune in adapters. The only other option might be to ditch the coloured floating rotors but I only bought them 4months ago and I'm reluctant to do that

Levo Gen 2 DtSwiss Centrelock hub compatability issues

Unfortunately even with a Shimano centrelock adapter I can't get the hope floating rotors to sit right and spin freely even with filing it down a bit to fit inside the recess on the inner face of the carrier(spider?) of the rotor. Regrettably I've tried everything and that's without trying the...

Levo Gen 2 DtSwiss Centrelock hub compatability issues

Hi. After reading great reviews of the DT swiss e1900 wheelset I bought it as it comes with adapters for 6bolt rotors so I thought all will be well.....but.... unfortunately the adapter pins are too short for hope floating rotors:mad:...so I spoke to hope and they thought the Shimano centrelock...

Anyone been to Epping Forest recently?

I went out today with a mate and we had a great ride on mostly singletracks. Yes there are some areas of thick mud but only in patches and the trails are pretty good considering it's still the end of winter. To avoid the worst of it keep away from the low Connaught/chingford end of the forest.

Anyone been to Epping Forest recently?

We're off there tomorrow. Yes it'll be a mudfest but choosing the right singletrack will help reduce it??

    e-bike specific Hope brake pads

Hey I've just received my new purple V4's (not yet fitted) and similarly will be interested to know how the ebike pads fair against the sintered ones. Please post how you find them Hitby. I know what you mean about the colour coding rabbit hole - Ive already 'had to buy' the matching seal...

Anyone been to Epping Forest recently?

The carpark just down towards loughton on the a121....Golding's hill car park puts you in the thick of a lot of good trails both sides of that road.

Anyone been to Epping Forest recently?

Hi steve-a I have ridden most weeks over there and as you say the bridleways are pretty muddy as indeed are many of the singletrack trails. Jump landings are often muddy skidpans and many trails are rideable but more technically challenging...but great fun. You just need to know which ones to...

Unanswered Sram Guide RE Bleeding Woes!

I must admit I had wondered whether feeding the new hose through the frame etc could be done easily without kinking it. I'll have to bleed each week before a ride until it goes back to lbs in the new year - they supplied and fitted ithe whole assembly so they can sort it out for me - if some...

Unanswered Sram Guide RE Bleeding Woes!

Hi Salko. Its a 2019 Levo. There is one fixing - to the chainstay - there is a bolt on the inside of the seatstay which is unused. I'm not sure if it ever was used even before the lbs replaced the whole brake.

Unanswered Sram Guide RE Bleeding Woes!

Hi Salko. That was what my lbs diagnosed for my original brake so I replaced the whole lot just in case and now its happening again. Seems I am really unlucky? Any idea whether the innner hose is likely to be leaking where its connected to caliper/lever (seems most likely to me) or could it...
