Any recommendations for sturdy but lightweight long trousers (trails, forest riding etc.)?

Fjällräven also has trousers in different lenghts. I don't think they have biking-specific models, but I have ridden many a km in my pairs. I have both the Kapaq and Keb models, both pairs now quite worn. Hence, I bought the Norrøna Fjørå last autumn.

Any recommendations for sturdy but lightweight long trousers (trails, forest riding etc.)?

I use Norrøna Fjørå pants summer and (with a wool underlayer) winter. They are light and have some zips for letting some air in when it gets too hot.

A nice, quiet (apart from all the birds singing) trip though the local forest.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

A new tire pressure gauge. Topeak Shuttle gauge digital. My relatively simple BBB gauge didn't read correct pressure when using Fillmore valves. This new one does. And it is quite fancy, with rotating head and a connection for a pump, so I can measure while pumping.

    Bosch Flow 1.34 features

I have the latest update on the bike and app 1.34.6. I see no such summary, but I haven't done any tricks either. Is the summary there regardless of tricks / no tricks?

    Bosch Flow 1.34 features

Do you have to turn it on (the tricks recording) somewhere? I have a smart Gen4 and as you, no display. I usually keep both wheels on the ground, but might try to do a trick just to see if it gets recorded.

What did you do to your EBike this week?

I put on the summer tires. Last year's Magic Mary(red stripe) front, a new Nobby Nic (blue) on the rear. Tubless, using Fillmore valves of different lengths, as I have the Bosch Rim magnet. Last year, I used Fillmore on the front only, and a tube at the rear. When I tried to fit the rear, I...

New in box: my Stark Varg EX

I ordered a Stark Varg EX a couple of weeks back. Fetched it at the (not so local, but very friendly) dealer on Tuesday. I guess this qualifies for the New-in-Box designation! It's still in the box, I haven't even got it out of the van yet. I will need some help from my sons to get it out of...

    Pic of the Day

On my way home from work yesterday. Took the scenic route past a small, frozen lake. Very nice to be outside now, only a few degrees below zero, and really nice weather.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Rushed off to the LBS in my lunch break. Got what I need for bleeding the brakes tonight. Not the cheapest solution (buing online would have saved me quite a bit) but I need it TODAY! 🙂

What did you do to your EBike this week?

It put on the studded tires from last year. Tried to do the front tubeless, but it leaked a lot through the sidewalls. So I ended up with tubes. I also mounted a new rear Galfer brake disk using my new Park Tool centerlock socket. So far so good. Then, Galfer purple e-bike pads. However, When...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Yes. There is a separate part that you clamp on to the seat rails and then the lamp itself has a quarter-turn lock to that fixing. The AI alert is just a gimmick, as AI is very popular nowadays. It is a brakelight, most likely controlled by an accelrometer chip inside the lamp. My previous...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

A new tail lamp from Lezyne to replace my defective Light5 Blip. I's got lots of flashing patterns, and has a brake light function. I hope it is of far better quality than the Light5 which has been replaced under warranty twice.

How much vert do you typically climb/descend in a session?

Varies from ride to ride. As I commute on the same bike, my trips to/from work is 14-25km with a climb of 150-400m depending on the route. When I'm out on the weekends, I usually ride 25-40km with climbs of 400 to 1000m.

    Bike licence.

I have only had my licence for almost 49 years. I have crashed a few times, but nothing serious. I still have a few bikes, but only the enduro bike is ridden regularly. The road bikes are mostly in the garage. But I have no plans of giving up riding, and noone has suggested it so far. I...

    Bosch Gen5 - Still flashing at 100%

Mine (gen4) is the same. I guess its the BMS that does a balancing, i.e. makes sure the cells all have the maximum charge.
