Industry Veteran Hans Rey Calls for Clearer E-Bike Definitions

Completely agree about Pinkbike and would never rely on their user base for an objective opinion. I'm a US emtb rider and have experienced none of that negative or entitled attitude either.

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Sorry forgot it came with t type I changed mine out to my axis immediately so I don't know what was on there. Just trying to answer the question and anyone else is welcome to chime in and answer their questions

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

I'm sure if you still have the cable housing that would be MUCH easier, mine was already pulled since had already switched to wireless. My LBS is very meticulous and like to make sure everything is perfect. So while you may not have to do anything with the triangle, they may have just to make...

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Shifting pod, t type chain, chainring and cassette are also necessary
  5. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

It did plug right into the motor but they did have to partially remove the rear triangle and drop the motor to route it through there properly
  6. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Yes it is. Had my shop install one for me 2 weeks ago. And it works really well especially since it can shift with no load on the system

    Rise LT and t type

And with all due respect, I'm sorry my answer to follow the directions explicitly, that works for everyone else, wasn't satisfactory to you. No one will know "why" something is happening if it has never happened for them.

    Rise LT and t type

And it does, because I ran it on mine and currently have an Eagle 70 on it that uses the same UDH mount. So it is not the bike it is the set up.
  9. Q

    Rise LT and t type

Rise LT has nothing to do with it. Pull up SRAM t type installation video on You Tube and it will walk you through it

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Interesting and good to know. Not what I would call a female connection but some people do things differently 🤣
  11. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

    That's good to know
  12. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Yes it's a SRAM made cable, but the actual female connector I don't think is native to the Avinox motor
  13. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

The connector is native to the avinox motor? Was under the impression you had to splice that into the Avinox, at least here in the States as it isn't available yet
  14. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Did you pick it up for an Amflow? What length if you did
  15. Q

Does the Amflow Pro model has automatic shifting?

Power cable is currently available just not with native Amflow connector. Though I have seen in FB group where someone wired it directly with no issues

Anyone heard any rumors about a new Yeti with a full power TQ motor?

Had the TQ system and it is very refined, but when they are getting some full power emtb's to within 5lbs of an SL they just don't make any sense and I believe are a dying breed. Feels like Yeti is way behind the curve and this. And that's coming from an yeti fan

    Rise LT and t type

Good idea, but there are a few instances where people have tried it online (pretty easy to find with Google) and they did not really work. Cassette I guess is hit or miss, but chainring not so much. I put the 34 on mine as it didn't look like a 36 would fit and have done nothing to the motor...
  18. Q

    Rise LT and t type

Unfortunately I don't think it will with any consistency They are 2 completely different chain types so the teeth on the chainring will be different. Good news is chainrings aren't the most expensive part of the system, bad news is there's not a ton of choice. The Shimano e-bike motor uses a...
