    4th derailleur in 14 month

Downgrade to something more like the power that bicycles are designed to stand, or upgrade to a motorcycle and this will not happen again … with the benefits of having a throtle 🙄

    Loading bike into the Van.

If you will load the bike with the fork towards the front of the van, then the rear wheel must be tied somehow or the bike will kick like a rodeo horse 😊. With the front axle secured, its possible to tilt the rear end sideways quite a lot, making it easy to arrange for more than one bike.

    Loading bike into the Van.

Hi Lancelot. Sorry for the delay. I have found no need to fix the rear wheel at all, even after having hit a few speed bumps already. The side ways sliding rail with a front axle fixture from aliexpress works just fine, but I would add also a front-rear sliding system to adust to different fork...

Those who do bike parks or like to hit jumps

I think the restriction is not because of frame stiffness, but the fact that the bottom bracket is inside the motor cage, with all the circuit boards and sensors, that turns impossible to have a sturdy BB

Have Avinox given us a good thing (or not)?

I agree with @Mikerb that all this hype about the "power dominance" of avinox motor has made this forum very boring. The power that any of the motors in the market actually offers, is more than enough for an assisted bike. There is no need for more power ar torque, as long as we see ebikes as...

Should I still be on here?

Sometimes I ask it myself but you know, only One has the answer. If my opinion matters, I enjoy you being a Cube rider ;)

Industry Veteran Hans Rey Calls for Clearer E-Bike Definitions

And what if... UCI or some sports entity sets a standard to a "racing ebike" category? So that every manufacturer could have an "official racing approved" model on their product line, like they do on windsurf sailing, where every racer is sailing the same board, from different brands, but with...

What do you WANT to buy you’re EMTB this week?

Industry Veteran Hans Rey Calls for Clearer E-Bike Definitions

Thanks @Moderator, for deleting the duplicates I had posted before. @power, I do not see a ruling system as a nuclear solution, it should serve for the people that manage lands to be able to make a decision based on accountability. Because this is just what managers do: if they have no clarity...

I do not have an example of trails being closed, but there are many yet to be opened to ebikes…

Industry Veteran Hans Rey Calls for Clearer E-Bike Definitions

I bypassed Laguna last year, on a trip to Utah to ride Park City trails. Maybe ebikes are doing fine at your place, but, if you check trailforks app, looking for ebike trails in Park City, you'll get 3, search for mtb instead, and it shows hundreds... Only last year Park City opened their trails...

Urgent Request to E-Bike Manufacturers: Race Mode

emtb race mode should be: motors off and batteries on place. Just one lap on an UCI course. This would really please the crowds, in between the real race categories. This would also help ebikers get a glimpse of their real athletical performance, as seen from other riders perspective.

Industry Veteran Hans Rey Calls for Clearer E-Bike Definitions

Hans has lived in California, so I guess he can clearly foresee the trails where he rides mtb looking like the roads he rides on the way back home. Some people may think that having law enforcement, radars, face detection, plate numbers... would be nice. His question is more about having emtbs...

Your thoughts on fasst flexx bars for old fast guy please

I have 66 and am convinced that my next crash riding at speed is going to be the last one. So, messing with handlebars scares me. I would not buy second hand, and would only go with a trusted brand. all my handlebars are shimano, but on my lightest bike, wich has a carbon rigid fork, I have an...

What's important to you in your next EMTB?

A smaller wheel at the rear, for me, means better clearence and ease to move on narrow rocky ditches, making it easyer to clear the rear deraileur from a side kick. About rolling resistance of 29's it doesn't seem to be much advantage on the rear end where traction is provided with the...

Article: Canyon Spectral:ON and Torque:ON - new battery and new price

So, can these new batteries be used to replace the 900 on the previous version? are canyon going to give these new batteries to the owners of previous model? I love my 2018 spectralon an still ride it for training, but will only think of buying a new ebike when they start offering modular...

Anyone else treat their Emtb like trash?

your bike looks like my shins, dude! show me the pedals and I'll tell if you've been trashing the bike for real. Or if its just the trail that's trashing it.
