Derestricting Bosch performance line CX Race

Have mine derestricted for over 1000 miles now with no probs whatsoever. I never allow the flow app to connect to the bike at all just out of paranoia of something being detected by the Bosch software. Make sure you adjust the dynamic of the race mode to +4 before doing the derestriction...

MAX. POWER ON Motor Bosch Performance Line CX - Smart System 85 Nm

The wheel size on the bike and how the dealer configured wheel size in Bosch diagnostics would also reflect when the speed restrictor cuts in. If configured wrongly and in your favor then the motor doesn’t cut till around 16.5 ish mph . That’s from my own experience.

    Forest of Dean MTB

Gpx file would be a class . You should be able to export quote easily from Strava . If you’d like to share of course :) I’m from Kent but rode FOD 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months. Would really love to find some new stuff to explore down there now as the trail centre setup has become a bit samey

Bosch power tube adapters to convert 750hw chamber to smaller battery size

Would these adaptors be suitable for battery configurations which are integrated in frame. For example in my mondy Crafty xr ( smart system ) I have to drop the motor to get the battery out. I know with the new Orbea wild even though the battery there is integrated in frame you are freely able...

Orbea wild 2023 vs Mondraker crafty r - please help choose

Mixed experiences then with their support. I’ve found them flawless and very helpful but that’s dealing direct with the guys in elche so maybe that’s why a better service perhaps if your for instance going through an intermediary. Even when my crafty carbon XR limited edition 2023 arrived I...

Orbea wild 2023 vs Mondraker crafty r - please help choose

100% the mondraker . Orbea’s after sales is pretty awful and even a well known brand of shops in the UK are looking to drop Orbea bikes completely in their product offering due to warranty issues and after sales support. Orbea as a brand exploded during lockdown but now have real problems...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

Yeah don’t claim any are perfect but I think if not abused and fitted properly with di electric grease etc then water ingress is kept to a minimum atleast. Everyone is quick to assume the bike has detected the chip in place etc due to the usual reported error codes when in reality the bike is...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

There’s loads available as 3rd party. Yet not too frequent posts across the web about failure’s considering how many people probably run the chips. In my local club in the Uk everyone seems to run either the Peartune 4.0 mso for Bosch smart or the speedbox. We are out as a club every Sunday...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

Mega’s solution as journaled on this thread works nicely and very inexpensive for a hobbyist to build themselves. When adapted it also works just fine in my disc magnet setup. I do worry however about the inaccuracy of trip distance recorded with the solution especially if you want to have the...

Is the cx race motor worth it for a non racer?

It definitely helps on steep rooty technical ascents but otherwise I’ve found no benefit over normal turbo mode. A lot of extra $$$ for the benefits you gain and I’m sure will be obsolete on the release of the next gen Bosch motors when they will probably up the NM torque of a new motor and...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

Solution on here is very undetectable within the system. Majority of other chip providers also link in on the kiox display line. Maybe that’s why they become detected and throw up errors. Or very simply majority of the 3rd party chip suppliers are using sub standard parts onside there fancy...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

I can’t bypass the ardruino in the setup I’m trying achieve. I’m trying with original Bosch in frame ( lower stay ) speed sensor and disc magnet. I don’t have the rim magnet on my bike so I’m trying a different setup just a basic version I guess of what all the 3rd party chips pretty much do.

    Derestricting bosch smart system

You mean this post “”Hi and congratulations. I was wondering if it is possible to program Arduino in a way that it sends the real frequency that it receives down to 0.4 sec between pulses and keep sending a signal to electromagnet every 0.4 sec if the real value is less than that.”” Guess only...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

& not to be thick but if powering from the LPP port does this mean we are able to turn device on / off via the light button on the smart system ? Thx again

    Derestricting bosch smart system

Thx for response mega . When you refer to the electromagnet up against the speed sensor in my setup do you infact mean the reed switch ? I thought the electromagnet on your design ( located back of motor housing ) where you have the rim magnet type setup was there to introduce a magnetic field...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

Curiosity in your new code where you changed the system to start working at a preset of 6kph I think you had mentioned. Why would you not set this preset to say 20kph before the multiplier effect kicks in so you get the most true to original power curves in all the different ride modes. Maybe...

Altitude vs Instinct for trail centres

Hi , Where & what shock mount would you purchase to convert the instinct successfully to an altitude with pretty close geo numbers ? Appreciate front fork and rear shock also need changing but more interested in the shock mount part you refer to. Thx

    Derestricting bosch smart system

So this is where my confusion was early in the conversation . Why would I need an electromagnet if I already have either a current speed sensor ( factory fitted in frame ) or alternatively as you’ve said relocate my current in frame speed sensor with the reed switch taking its place at the wheel...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

I of course worry about limp mode etc. my bike is only 2 months old and has the Bosch race motor so I’m a little concerned of messing things up. But if I don’t try I won’t know. 16mph cut in the Uk is awful especially when your riding to and from the trails on fire roads or country lanes etc...
