The only thing I have had done is one firmware update and normal cleaning. I have gone through a couple sets of tires. I am in the US, so I think the speed limit is 25 mph.
Be careful with the LCD display on on the EXe when using the Saris. I wasn’t paying attention and cracked the display While loading it onto the repair stand. The Saris is great though. Keeps the bike nice and level and spreads the weight instead of using the seatpost with a heavy bike.
Nice...
Curious to see how many miles and how reliable your EXe has been. Mine just turned 2,000 miles. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever on the bike. The motor is still as quiet as my first ride. Hopefully the next 2K miles are just as flawless.
I do the same. Better safe than sorry. I keep one in my both my hydration packs so I never have to think about it. I rotate them out every other charge to keep them even on charge cycles. My Garmin does tell me when the battery gets low.
Our rattle snakes don’t always rattle. They do strike without warning, but I am definitely glad I am not in your shoes. The eastern US does have Coral Snakes and Cottonmouth Snakes that don’t rattle. I do not like snakes, they freak me out more than anything else on our trails. It’s the...
I feel for you with all that mud, I’ll take the dry desert any day. I’d hate to have to clean my bike after ever ride. It has been about 5 rides since I washed the bike.
Gold Canyon, AZ. Really fun trails with a very remote feeling. I saw only 1 other bike on a 17 mile ride on a Saturday.
This ride freaked me out more than any other ride I’ve been on. I came around a blind corner at fairly slow speed. A Diamondback Rattlesnake was laying across the trail...
I agree for the most part, they just ride very differently though. I never really ride the SL anymore now that I have the EXe. The EXe is a much more refined bike and the riding is more natural, as is the power delivery. I recently rode the SL with my son. He is bigger and taller than me...
My Levo SL 1.1 does about the same as my EXe on climbs, but does feel more punchy. The range on both is very similar too, even though the SL has the 320 wh battery.
Range on the EXe is not the best. Nice thing is, the battery is easily removable. I use 2 batteries and go for really long rides. A full 360 wh battery is only $150 more than the 160 wh range extender.
Mine barely fits a 2.5. Like was already said, you can probably bend one to fit. Here is the rack I built. The MTB’s have the weight on the rear tire. The gravel bikes are hanging. With the gravel bikes hanging, it staggers the handle bars for a tighter fit. I like to keep my main bike on...
I have a fully custom 9.5. It was stripped to the frame and rebuilt. If I didn‘t do a custom build, I’d probably get the 9.7. It has the Fox suspension and carbon frame at a reasonable price.
Did the bike get a firmware update when you purchased it? This needs to be done through your bike shop with the battery in the bike. Not sure if this is your issue, but it should s like you need to go to your shop.
I am already back home in AZ. I rode everything on a solo road trip, so no action shots. I stopped by Over The Edge bike shop. The owner is really cool. He always has group rides to show people around if you‘re into that. Otherwise, he’ll give you a lot of tips on the area. I saw very few...
Gooseberry Mesa and Wire Mesa in Utah. Gooseberry was rated expert (double black diamond) in some areas, but there is no way it was that difficult. I cleaned everything on my first try except 1 feature and had 2 pedal strikes on easy sections where I just wasn’t paying attention. I am...
