LBS just called and said Fox would fix the air leak under warranty, but the shock really needs a full rebuild as it has about 1000 km’s on it. Fox will do it for $100 Canadian, normally $250. Fair enough.

The new Rockshox Super deluxe ultimate coil with hydraulic bottom out might be a good option for the GEN three. Have a look.

After a service not long after I purchased the bike due to the shock being aerated, it’s now loosing air quickly. Can’t get through a ride without massive air loss. Has close to 1000 km since the last service.

I think that’s the creativity that would make it work.

I dented a rim and my LBS said that’s not covered. So I hammered it out and I’m still riding it. Glad your LBS went the extra mile.

Sorry, forgot to update. Specialized credited my LBS the full amount, as they can get that part here in Canada 🤷🏻‍♂️. I wouldn’t want another one again anyway. Specialized were great to deal with. I installed a regular star nut and top cap and will carry my tools from here on out.

Are you still bottoming easily or just occasionally? If easily then try 25% sag, otherwise reduce sag by 1or 2 percent increments until it takes care of it. Nothing wrong with a little less sag, just make sure you balance the front at the same time as you don’t want the back jacked up.
