The new warranty hub arrived at my bike shop directly from Spain
And....it's another identical whatever hub. Way to go Orbea...
I think the shipping cost was probably more than what it's worth.
A little update:
The bike shop rebuilt my AR30 with the new-in-box Shimano FH-MT-510-B I got for $65 - and a few rides in, so far it's working great!
The shop lead who is handling my warranty claim said that Orbea is shipping them a new hub...from Spain. Expects it to take a couple weeks to...
Interesting diversity of opinions here.
I know these can stand up to some abuse...since I rode them on my Epic EVO pretty fast on some gnarly tracks.
But what makes me concerned is the hubs (I already destroyed a hub once on the Rise due to too much torque combined with the cheap stock no-name...
In your situation I would get the M6120 (Deore) or M520 (same thing, different branding) calipers which can use your existing hoses and levers

As far as I can tell, the performance would be...
@andythebikeguy exactly which model crank did you have (carbon or aluminum), and when was your bike manufactured?
I have a 2022 model Rise H15 with the aluminum cranks stock, and in the other thread about cranks, somebody posted that Orbea had changed their assembly procedure to avoid issues...
Up the size in the front to 203 first. That made a big difference for me. And it's cheaper than other options. The stock 180mm front rotor on my H15 was resin-pads-only (the rear EM600 was not).
Keep in mind if you decide to change the rear rotor, you need a shimano rotor with an integrated...
So what I am reading is that people are removing their Shimano hubs to replace with others, and meanwhile I am actually installing a shimano hub ?
Well, never mind. I emailed Hayes asking them if this wheelset is suitable for e-bike use, and they said NO:
These are not certified for e-bike use..
Currently only our TRE wheelset is suitable for e-bike.
A year ago I bought the Reynolds Blacklabel 309/289 limited edition for a much lower price than MSRP (I got it from somebody close to the company who didn't need them) and put them on my lightweight downcountry bike (Specialized Epic EVO).
Here is a link to the wheels: Limited Edition...
Super helpful, thanks! This is exactly what mine looks like.
2 more questions if you don't mind. Looking at the blue paper for the Rise Hydro 2022, there is no mention of retaining compound on the splines, and the pinch bolt torque is listed as 15nm. Should I assume this is the most up to...
My H15 started creaking under load after about a month, so I decided to do the "quick disassembly" of the upper linkage arm. What I found was the arm, the bearings, the axle, and the bolts were all caked with greasy dirt. I cleaned it all up, applied some fresh grease to the bolts, and...
I emailed Orbea asking which hub is on the bike, here is the response:
Regarding to your question, as you mention, due to a cut on the supply chain, we changed the original Shimano MT510-B hubs assembled on the Race Face AR 30c for the DA4677B-148-12S from Chosen Hubs.
Yesterday's ride was the final one for this hub. It made some disconcerting noises, then completely failed. It no longer engages, and definitely makes some strange noises when the wheel is spinning.
I ordered a Shimano MT-510-B for $65 and the shop will re-build my wheel for me at no cost. I...
My H15 came with no-name hubs, and in the last couple rides there's been a clunk noise coming from the hub when you start pedaling after coasting. I just got back from the bike shop who pulled apart the hub. They said the notches that the pawls sit in are "ovaling out" sending out chunks of...
