UK Police seize & destroy legal e-bike
Seems to me that if the bike has indeed been destroyed then, in the absence of other uncontravertible evidence, it is questionable whether the bike was or was not being used illegally.

As said below, have a pair of almost new 220mm HS2's if you want to try them - can send them to you no probs.

Case in point, when applied gently the Swissstop D27 RS pads are noisier (slightly graunchy sound) when compared to the standard Shimano D03S pads which are silent (with Swissstop Catalyst Pro 220mm rotors).
Will probably go back to Shimano D03S pads ...
Part of the benefit will have came from the increased brake pads area (the physics are simple) and part will have come from them being floating rotors (much literature about this).

Ours haven't - used all year round, normally on the South Downs.

Now have Fumpa Clik heads which screw directly into our Cycplus AS2 Pro pumps so no longer need to carry adapter tubes in our emergency kits. Pump does get hot but Fumpa head will prevent most heat transfer from pump to valve...
