Perma-E010 error preceded by an intermittent then solid W013 error

To add to what R120 suggested, just check that the shop has experience with shimano ebikes, some don't. You want an experienced one as that'll reduce your downtime.

Hi all , New Vitus E-sommet owner from Bucks

Yes, that was mine! I saw your bike in the basement. Was a combination of slow from Mountain Mania and Shimano, but that's another story.

Hi all , New Vitus E-sommet owner from Bucks

Same stomping grounds as me then, although I don't head out to PR way much. That's three E-Sommet owners in the area, I saw another one in Mountain Mania about a month ago.

Hi all , New Vitus E-sommet owner from Bucks

You're not far from me then! I'm the Herts side of Aston Hill, it's about a 15min ride or 5 mins car as well. I'm normally there at weekends, I'll keep an eye out!

Hi all , New Vitus E-sommet owner from Bucks

Get yourself over to Aston Hill if you haven't already. It's where mine spends most of it's time, bloody brilliant there.

Get my E-Sommet back tomorrow. New motor.

Yeah, last weekend. Been out for a muddy ride, so far so good. Assuming I get time this weekend I'll pop up to Aston Hill bike park for a proper ride.

Get my E-Sommet back tomorrow. New motor.

No idea. Just repeating what Shimano said to my lbs.

Get my E-Sommet back tomorrow. New motor.

I had to send the entire bike back to Shimano/Madison in the end to get it fixed. But get this, they've fitted a new motor, and the cause of the original failure was because it was set up for an 11-spd bike, but mine is a 10-spd (ie, not a VR). Amusingly, my LBS have had another e-sommet in for...

    Winter-ising the 2019 E-Sommet

That's the guard I've bought, the longer front version. Figured I could trim it down to fit if it was too long. Cheers guys.

Rockgaurdz for a Giant Trance sx e+ pro 0

Just how tough/rigid are these things? From the photos I've seen they look thin, and a rock strike to say the BB area would just transfer through the shock and crack the underlying motor casing. Are they more designed to prevent rocks which may flick up from damaging the underside rather than an...

    Winter-ising the 2019 E-Sommet

Cheers. Got guards on order now. Does the motor need to be dropped to fit the motofoam or do you wedge it in from above?

    Winter-ising the 2019 E-Sommet

I'm hopefully going to get my bike back next week from Madison, the whole thing has had to go them to fix whatever electrical issue it has. Anyway, I want to get it ready for winter and try to keep out as much of the crap and water as possible. I've read about people moto-foaming their motors...

Leaving Vitus due to CRC's poor customer service

My motor was sent to Madison from my LBS as had same error. Madison couldn't find any issues, LBS refitted motor and tested it. Failed again. Whole bike has now gone to Madison. Hoping to hear something end of this week / middle of next week.

    Michelin E-Wilds arrived

How are these on wet roots and chalk? My local haunt is Aston Hill which is notoriously slippy in the winter.

My fear of the analog MTB.

I enjoy riding my Vitus E-Sommet (when it works) and my old 26" hardtail. Just did MBR and Dragons Back at Coed Y Brenen this weekend on the hardtail. Both are very different bikes.

    2020 Vitus EMTB!!!!

As I've got a broken Vitus with an E7000 motor currently with Madison/Shimano, am I the only thinking I couldn't give two flying fucks about the new Vitus 2020 range. They'll all end up broken in 6 months and then off the road for another 3.
