    Official EMTB Vasectomy Megathread

Had mine done yesterday as well. The anxiety of the procedure and smell of burning hair and flesh in the room was the worst part for me. Painless really, but I have been in some discomfort for the last 24hrs! Just smashing painkillers every so often. Discomfort like I say, rather than pain...

    Official EMTB Vasectomy Megathread

Im going in for the snip in 2 weeks…obviously my bike died in December which meant I’ve only just had the warranty job completed by Bosch this week. Why couldn’t the thing just for once agree to fail whilst I can’t actually ride! Thanks for the above stories chaps, it’s making the anxiety...

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

I did, I mentioned that earlier up the post. They reached out to a dealer (who I didn’t even know sold MTB’s) and set up a relationship with them moving forward. They are excellent, but it’s not a trek problem. The Motor is faulty, it’s stuck in the Bosch process…again

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

Yeah for sure, I was describing my unicorn. The world isn’t there yet, which I understand…in the mean time I’d just take decent service

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

I wish you all the luck with it mate. I’m 14 months in and hopefully soon to be on my 3rd motor. With a total down time due to warranty of around 3 months. They all go wrong, it’s the nature of the product evolution. It’s how things are handled when it goes wrong that shape the complete...

    Great dealer thread

Raceco cycles in Stourbridge… I don’t own a Specialized, but these guys bent over to help with my Trek. Even though they don’t sell them, they managed the warranty process for me when most Trek dealers flicked me the bird. They look after all of my mates Specialized superbly and are genuinely...

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

I guess my ideal bike is my Trek Rail designed for UK conditions (no ports open to the elements, better sealing etc. with Specialized dealer backup…it’s more of donkey than a Unicorn. If I was talking proper unicorn it’d be a Mullet optimised from Factory Rail, with inbuilt battery and about...

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

The Levo, several riding buddies have them (current and previous gen) they rode OK, but I wasn’t overly excited by it. I’ll give one another go at some point, but I prefer the feel of the Bosch motor and the way the Rail rides. That said the Levo wasn’t insulting or anything like that and...

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

Yep, Rich at Raceco really helped me out as none of my local dealers at the time (until Trek got involved and pointed me to a very helpful independent) would help. Thing is I hadn’t not bought a bike from them to save money. I purchased the bike from the only shop who had stock! I’d tried the...

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

Yeah you said earlier on. But I obviously can…it’s a complete shit show from my regard. I’ve had enough, so I’ll buy something else. To be honest the post isn’t about Bosch for me, it’s what other brands have similar support as Spesh.

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

I’ve got some good dealers, but the point is it’s not the dealer it’s the speed at which Bosch process a diagnostics and claim. It’s happened at both shops both times I’ve had a claim.

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

Am I though?? To be honest, I don’t care about that now even if I was. I just want to ride my bike. If I have to pay for that then so be it. By the way, I don’t want a Specialized. The question is “are there other options I’m missing?”

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

Yeah I had raised the issue with Trek following my last experience. Hence I found a shop to help with future issues who are excellent. However both my issues on separate occasions are now pushing months to resolve. My personal view is it shouldn’t take this long. It’s clear there is a fault...

EBike warranties, replacement services - is Specialized the only option?

Thought I’d throw a new thread up, there are multiple threads around warranty, but I wanted to post to help me feel better about my current shit show. Also with a view of understanding others positions. I’m now 15 months into eBike and Trek Rail ownership. However whilst I love the bike and...

Rail (625Wh) Do you really need Rail chain guards/guide?

I got rid of mine straight away. Crappy thing waste of time. I’ve never dropped a chain without it either.

Anyone removed the Trek Rail Battery Lock?

Well I’ve yet to try it in anger as it looks like my motor is knackered! Turned on Sunday to check bike over and nothing Kiox isn’t registering…man I love these bikes but I’m so over issues with them already. Not booked it in yet just chucked the bike In the garage and forgotten about it

    Talk to me about Mullets

Eh?? Thanks for that, I now know to put my bike back to 29/29 if I ever decide to randomly kill animals in the wilds 🤷‍♂️

    Fuel EXe Screen protector?

https://uk.gorillaglue.com/gorilla-tape-crystal-clear/ It even says it can be used in ‘smart screens’ it seems. I use it on loads of mtb kit to help prevent kit getting ruined. You can get it from B&Q
