Local availability and serviceability is non existent.
Ohlins have a local presence. The other options were cane creek and dvo apart from the usual suspects ... And elevensix ... But they were a little painful to deal with.
Any SL owners compare say the x2 against the ohlins coil shock? The x2 is supposedly coil like, but which gives the better ride? I've never owned a coil shock so tempted to order one.
I contacted them about it and they said it will be out this year. They were aiming at this month however with the global covid sh!storm it might get delayed
My Levo SL is 16.7kg with pedals (will probably go up to 17kg with a fork/shock upgrade). I quite like how it feels pointed downhill ... I have not ever thought 'wow this emtb is heavy'. I am curious about what a full fat levo would feel like ... but then again maybe all that's needed is for...
I've heard November for the alloy comp, roughly about the same cost as the current gen ... I was about to buy a levo to accompany my levo SL but will hold out for the updated model.
What do you think of the ohlins setup for all mountain type riding?
I've literally just ordered the ohlins shock/fork combo after about a week of going back and forth between ohlins-fox-RS.
That's, yes I tried, this thread is enormous. I found one person fitted out successfully on a large frame by tilting the bottle cage. I'm not sure the differences in space between the large and medium
Ok I'm confused, I'm just about to order a SDU but now I'm not so sure I should. Does the medium SL with the SDU clear the range extender using the bottle holder hack ... Can anyone confirm?
Yeah I'm lucky that I live close to a trail center and so am permitted to use it. I feel for those in the inner burbs with no chance of hitting any trails until this all blows over.
Are you measuring from the top or bottom of the dropper collar? It sounds like we're arriving at the same insert depths. Mine had a little resistance but I think it was the cable housing.
Yes I have the email from spec stating 216mm which is close to what I measured on the xfusion (not...
I don't have a 34.9mm straight post to test with.
I tried slamming the stock xfusion and it bottoms out 10mm from the collar. That gives an insert depth of 215mm from the bottom of the post but I can't tell if that's the actuator or post bottoming out. I also asked specialized rider care who...
I received my bike in a medium in the end. Still waiting for a shim to fit my diet but it looks like the frame will fit my 150mm dropper perfectly.
I have managed to get the weight down to 16.7kg ... Without doing silly things like puny tires and removing the main battery.
