I guess EL models are comming. New firmware is released. You can change the support up to 400%, choose the power output of the motor (30-85Nm) and set up how quick the full torque is present... But only for the Syncdrive Pro 2

When you enable speed mod ( UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN) you will see a number for max. speed. When you see a number just press UP button to enable higher speed or press DOWN for lower speed. Then wait 5 second and it will be saved.

I think that giant use customize firmware. Maybe you tried to flash it over with original shimano firmware. Call your giant dealer. Maybe they can reflash original firmware.
