The straps were because the 1st battery latch was flimsy and rattled a lot. Yes, the batter did fall out once too. The only issue I had with the frame was the main swingarm pivot bolt breaking, otherwise it was a good bike for 2300 miles of abuse.
I'll be 50 later this year and am totally addicted to getting KOMs on primarily downhill segments. I usually tell myself I'm just gonna take a chill lap and end up getting a PR or KOM, lol
I pretty much swear by CushCore's. I've been running them for 5 years now and nearly 10k miles of riding. The added stiffness to the sidewall helps all tires, especially the front at low pressure to work well in corners without folding or burping. It is still possible to dent the rim when...
I've been running Michelin Wild Enduro tires, front & rear (with CushCore) for 4 seasons now & they're awesome! I have 2 bikes, a mullet and a 29r and they work equally well on both. I ride primarily in Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains, so dry, rocky, loose, sandy and hardpack conditions...
My 2nd YT Decoy Mx, with a few choice modifications. I primarily use this for e-Enduro racing and it's awesome! I ended up winning the inaugural Sky Tavern Enduro this past June!

I put 7,064 miles on the 1st e8000 motor in my 2019 YT Decoy, before replacing it with a unit supplied by YT/Shimano due to a knocking noise my motor began making on long climbs. I ended up selling the bike shortly after replacing the motor.
I have 3869 miles on the original e8000 motor in my 2019 Decoy Pro and well over 500,000 feet of climbing. I expect it to go 20k or more miles without issue.
