Looking at what you did I would say take it to a shop who knows what they are doing as you have no clue. Not being nasty here, just trying to save you money.
I use a Bell with removable chin piece. Always put it on for any downhill trails and off for riding up. It has saved my face several times over the past few years.
People are giving you a lot of data but it will not be much use. You also need to know rider weight, elevation change vs distance and tyres. These items make a huge difference to range. My wife can get 30% farther than me on the same ride profile due to her lower body weight and less draggy...
You can go to any shimano agent and they will process warranty claim for you on the motor. They usually charge for the labor as you did not get the bike from them. I have done this 3 times , 1 x Canyon , 1x YT and once on a separate motor.
Hi,
They replaced the battery and I bought a second one. No problems (in 2 years) with either so it seems like an oddball early battery issue. It was one of the first shipped. Bike done 20k kms now mainly Enduro tracks with only normal wear and tear.
Pinion can run with Chain OR belt, the Bulls bike with the motor has a chain drive so Pinion have already addressed the issue from their point of view. It is the bike makers who use the MGU that make the choice.

I thought I would post this to give people a heads up.
YT in Surrey no longer send out parts to UK customers as they now have the main website accepting orders from the UK.
The downside of this is that parts take 2+ weeks to get here and shipping seems to be a fixed £14.99. I ordered a 19.99...
