Switching between 500wh and 625wh battery.

I am not familiar with the latest generations of powerfly, but the latest gen will be smart system and those batteries will not be compatible with the series 2 batteries. Your Local Trek store should be able to clarify this for you. I got myself a new alloy Rail 7 gen 3 and it is smart system.

Anyone used stem risers to get the weight back on their butt?

Also, depending on the geometry and fit of your bike, sliding the saddle back can really help relieve pressure on hands. The solutions mentioned above - riser stems and bars - may require you to change out your brake and derailleur housing, which may be too short.

Anyone used stem risers to get the weight back on their butt?

Sqlab makes decent tall stems that will help you raise your bars (approx 50-60mm taller) and maintain your reach. I ALSO USE Deity high riser bars in all my bikes. The Deity and/or SQLab solution is much more elegant.

Do you own more than one EMTB?

Orbea Rise H10 (for slower or less techy endurance trail rides, the range extender is nice to have), Trek Rail 7 (for fast techy rides) Specialized turbo Tero HT for errands, commuting and paved/gravel adventures. Then I also ride non-emtb's around Mt. Hood (Oregon) where emtb's are illegal--...

My Old Riding Buddies Won't Ride With me Anymore

Yes, I also lost some riding "friends" when I switched to emtb. One of these was particularly nasty about it, leaving snide comments about ebikers in local forums and on strava, but I have since made new friends who are much more fun to ride with!

New Bike Day. Ari Explorer Peak e fat bike

How are you liking it? Did you get it specc'd with the Mastodon fork - or was that an additional purchase? I am considering this bike as well.

Orbea Rise or Trek Fuel EXE (i know again!) Buying advice

Very different bikes. If you were happy with the power of your SL (32nm) then you will be happy with the Fuel Exe. The Exe is one of the slowest (lowest powered) emtb emtb's on the market. Also, the ep801 motor can be updated wto allow for more customization, while the ep6 cannot be updated. I...

Bafang BBS02 cuts off when battery power reaches about 70%

Hello, The mini-cube was purchased from a reputable U.S retailer that guaranteed the quality of the battery cells. I won't name the retailer, because I do believe they are honest people to work with, and I noticed that they no are no longer selling these mini-cubes. I bought two, and both had...

Bafang BBS02 cuts off when battery power reaches about 70%

Hello! Yes, the problem was resolved. It was the battery, not the Bafang motor. Those mini-cubes are junk, they work for a while, but get unbalanced. Get a quality battery, like something from EM3EV with a Smart BMS system that balances the charge level of the cells. I have had no problem...

    What decent hardtail emtb options?

I have totally enjoyed riding trails on my Trek Powerfly 4 HT. Trek makes an excellent aluminum frame that is more forgiving than would be expected, and it is powered by the Bosch CX motor. Of course, the spec of the bike as it is sold is not the best (I changed gears and suspension) but it...

    Orbea Rise range experiences

140lbs with gear here. 28 miles, 3500ft climbing, 26% battery remaining (started at 94% charge). Used custom assist levels 5-7 (50nm-60nm). This is with the 540 wh battery on H10.

What display are you using for your 2023+ Shimano ep801?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2023 Orbea Rise H10 with the ep801 RS motor and I am looking for some feedback on what displays people are using, and whether or not you are able to see what assist mode you are in when you are in FINE TUNE MODE with 4 or more assist levels. I had set up the Orbea...

Is my Trek Rail frame damaged?

Hello, Today I was doing some routine maintenance on my Rail 9.7 and discovered the lower IS headset cup appears to be damaged? My headset felt smooth and I regularly checked it for play, so this was nothing that I felt. Of course, I am reaching out to my LBS for assessment, but would be...

Best enduro emtb under $6000 USD

Help me choose a bike for the wife

I'm a 5'7" woman and I love LOVE my medium Rail 9.7 with the 625 watt battery. I have been riding for a few years, 29" wheels feel like cheating about as much as having a motor. The 625 watt battery is plenty large for 20 mile rides with 2-3000ft climbing (on emtb mode). I would add tho, that...

    CYC Motor Cranks -- Lekkie?

Hello, Yes, Isis fits, and I am glad you responded to this because I forgot that I had posted this. I did end up purchasing the lekkie cranks for my CYC motor, installed them in to my x1 Stealth, which was installed on a Surly grappler frameset with a 73mm bottom bracket, and the q-factor with...
