Scott Patron 920 Sensor / Magnet location

Going to answer my own question in case anyone else needs the answer. Scott told me “Some of our Patrons were fitted with external speedsensors and a magnet on the rotor and others with fitted with a magnet on the base of the valve which is referred to as a rim magnet. Details below taken from...

    Bosch CX Error 523001…

Adding an additional answer, in case anyone has the same issue as I had. Second hand Scott Patron, worked ok on a test ride, bit of course came up with this error when I got it home. Turns out, rim magnet was missing. No idea why, perhaps the previous user used a speed derestrictor, or maybe...

Scott Patron 920 Sensor / Magnet location

Hey folks I have a Scott Patron 920 and I'm having some issue with a Bosch 523001 error. Hunting around on the inter webs, it looks the easiest potential fix is a sensor / magnet tweak, after that it seems to get more serious. Looking at the manual, it looks like the sensor should be a hub...

    Winter boots

I also use the Trailcorss and they're great, but I walk in a pair of Adi gore tex Terrex and the thing to look out for is that the bit under the laces isn't gore tex (well, not on mine anyway). It's fine if water doesn't get to the upper bit, but in heavy rain they just collect water.

Putting an emtb on a bike rack without the battery

Had a quick look at that, but on various sites it lists it as 15kg max per bike, 30kg total. But maybe listed incorrectly. I found this one Fabbri Car Rear Mount 2 E-Bike Carrier with 135cm Wheel Tray but can't find any reviews so it might be pants.

Putting an emtb on a bike rack without the battery

Thanks for the tips everyone. My mate and I figured out it was a Decathlon bike rack, and a good guesstimate has it at a limit of 30 kilos. Bit too close to the edge for me, I figured we'd be nearing 40 even without the battery so I'm not going to risk it. Protracted negotiations with the...

Putting an emtb on a bike rack without the battery

Need some advice. I need to put my bike on my mates tow bar bike rack and although it's a dual bike rack, we're not sure of its load capacity. His bike is quite light, mine is around 25 kilos with the battery, so anyone see an issue with loading it without the battery in it?

    Twinloc on Erides

Hey all I have a Genius 920 eride and have a question about the twinloc. Mine only has two positions, but I thought the twinloc had three ? Is it different on erides or does mine need looking at? (I know lots of people think it sucks, but I'd like to at least give it a try :) ) John

Should I be getting this amount of crud at the bottom of the battery compartment?

Thanks for all the tips here, I've just ordered a battery cover from Amazon :) FWIW - I asked Scott UK what they thought and they replied (very impressed with their service so far on this and other questions) ' The Bosch system is designed so that water can drain away. If water was to make...

Should I be getting this amount of crud at the bottom of the battery compartment?

Just picked up a Scott Genius eride , Been for a few rides to break it / my arse in. I’ve noticed that after cleaning (hose only, no pressure washer) there’s a bunch of mud/crap at the bottom of the battery compartment, right where there’s connector. Is that normal or something I need to sort...

Transalp. Munich to Lake Garda in Italy

Got a couple of questions ... welll, a couple to start :). What was your kit list? What did you carry? Also, you mention diverting from the transalp EMTB route to a normal MTB route. Was the normal one a better route? Better views?

What’s good in MTB shoes that you don’t need to break the bank for..

Hi. Not a recommendation on specific shoes (mine are about 15 years old and could be classed as a semi sentient lifeform) but sportspursuit.com have a bunch of gore tex shoes that look good value. In other news....I only just came across the transalp a few days ago so and it's something i'd...
