Annoyingly the chainring in my decoy is sligthly too large to be protected by the bottom of the motor plate. I keep hitting the chainring to rocks and roots. Has anyone added a bash guard to they decoy? Funn seems to make some reasonably priced bashguards that would fit..
I guess that's always a question. I think the comp is huge value for money and for most riding it's pretty damn awesome as it is. But then, as with all bikes, you start upgrading little parts until there's nothing left to upgrade. And at that point you are ready to buy a new bike :D
So in...
I've ridden my Decoy now for half a year, done local trails, bike parks and enduro races with it. So I sat down with a friend that also rides a Decoy to discuss our experiences after half a year of riding.
The video is in Finnish but I spent few frustrating hours translating proper English...
Hah. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting! The reason why you want the larger brake rotor in the front is that on "full braking" the front brake does like 80% of the job, due to weight moving forwards. But I totally get your feeling about the rear brake fading. I guess it's just...
Hi all,
Here's a little video of all the little upgrades I've done to my YT Decoy in the last 6 months since I got the bike. Many of the ideas and tips I've got from this forum, so thank you all! The video is in Finnish but I've done proper English subtitles for it also:
Let me know what you...
Am I the only one who would rather have a smaller battery than a larger one? My YT Decoy has a 540 battery and on average it takes 3 of my normal enduro/DH rides to roughly empty the battery. So I would love to have a 250 battery that would remove several kilograms from the bikes weight.
Hi guys,
Finally got to take my YT Decoy to a local lift-assisted bike park. Wanted to see if I'd had enough fun riding it there (where I don't really need a motor) that I would be ready to sell my regular enduro bike. Here's my video of it (in Finnish but with English subtitles):
Spoiler...
Bunny hunting in Finland with my YT Decoy. Finnish language but english subtitles available. One of my very first youtube videos so happy to hear any comments (or likes <3 )!
So what exactly did you end up doing? I've so far added zip ties to hold the rubber cable thingies in place to reduce water intake from headset area, and added some insulation to the top of the battery to make it fit tighter. Still feel that probably the best thing would be to find some...
Hi guys,
Washed my new YT Decoy with a garden hose as I've always done with my bikes. Next day, the bike wouldn't get past the "Shimano Steps" logo. Took the battery off to see that the connection between battery the rest of the bike was covered in condensed water. Blew water off with a can of...
