    Other 2025 Rail Gen5 bikes

That was my exact experience with a Gen 4. I’m on a Gen 5 now and I haven’t had any issues at all so far. I’ve only got about 300 miles on it (dealing with health stuff), but they’ve been intentionally hard miles to see if there would be an issue. The battery locking system is much better now...

A stronger Bosch SX and improvements for the CX coming on July 14th

I’ve updated to the latest Flow and motor firmware and I have 100NM, but I still don’t have eMTB+. It’s not in the edit modes list, either. Anyone else found a way around this? Trek Rail 9.7 Gen 5

Other Rail+ Gen 5 100NM Update is available

I haven’t had a chance to install and test it out, but the latest Bosch Flow firmware update is now available. Plan to try it out this weekend. I think it also brings the eMTB+ mode to all Rails with the smart system.

I'm 6'2". Riding a large and I think it fits great. FWIW, I swapped out the bar and stem before I ever rode it stock. Currently have a RaceFace Next R 35 with 20mm rise and a 50mm RaceFace Turbine-R stem.

Rail (750Wh) Rail keeps cutting out.

You likely have a RIB alignment issue. I had the same problem on a 2023 Gen 4 9.7. Was in the shop forever because RIB parts were backordered. Bike would cut out on any bumpy section. The core problem is the battery rattles out of the connector just enough for it to lose contact.

Other Rail+ Gen 5 Front Light Wiring

This is mostly for posterity since I couldn't find the answer anywhere else pre-purchase. My Gen 4 Rail already had a wire installed for a front light. It was tucked into the frame under the top tube controller cover. I can confirm that Gen 5 Rails are not pre-wired for a front light. You'll...

    trek rail 9.8 lights cable

It’s connected to the motor. You have to drop the back motor cover to get access to the connectors. Not sure if you can get the cable out without dropping the motor itself. Cable channels are very tight and battery plug plate may be in the way. Check out page 8 here

    Other 2025 Rail Gen5 bikes

I'm curious if anyone with a Gen 5 has seen any of the battery disconnect issues that have plagued older gens. Really hoping the new RIB design has solved it...
