    Derestricting bosch smart system

Thanks, I think I figured it out, it was EbikeDoctor who posted it, in this thread: https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/ebike-support.45951/page-4

    Derestricting bosch smart system

@Greg Watts Was it this thread or a different one where a forum user, who offers e-bike tuning services, showed a pre-release version of a phone app with a slider bar that would let you set your Bosch Gen 5 bike to 45kmh while preserving accurate speed readings? Which forum user showed it? I am...

    USA deliveries of PX?

I am curious what sort of rides you see yourself doing, where the 700wh battery pack would be advantageous? I understand that the motor will hit higher peak outputs when using the 700, and sustain them beyond 10min without derating, due to the custom cells, but I had the opposite take on the...

I'm so cool on my unrestricted Class 3 eMoto 🆒😎

On the one hand, I fully agree with you. On the other hand, I want to ask "what were you doing when you were younger, because I sure as hell never put anyone in the hospital"?! This problem gets to an issue I've often pondered, when philosophical moods strike. I wouldn't go so far as to say what...

    Motor upgrade to M2s

That sounds like an easily answerable math(s) problem to me. Geeks...what is the marginal cost based on the above parameters?

I agree fully Rusty, in regard to the value to the proper airing of facts in court, and a trial. You could very well be right, and there could be some extenuating circumstances. I have seen a wide variety of parenting situations over the years, everything from parents who were strict to the...

Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

Maybe I should know this from earlier in the thread, but what's the scoop? Almost the same build, different frame color, and different grips. Is that an M1 motored bike (the first in their production run "000") and a new M2 bike? Either way, sweet ride and sweet liscense plate!

Hyper Full Suspension Mid-Drive eMTB value bike

That is always great to hear updates for confirmation! Would be cool to see pics of your bike to help make it more real, and confirm the deets we're discussing.

    Motor upgrade to M2s

This all depends on how well optimized their business is. Profit vs. manufacturing cost exists equally for OEM and aftermarket motors so, in my perspective, this is actually advantageous to the aftermarket motor sales, because they would fetch a much higher retail price rather than the heavily...

I'm so cool on my unrestricted Class 3 eMoto 🆒😎

As far as I know, Surrons have keys. If she is forbidding his use of the Surron, she should take them. That sort of exercise of authority is normal both for parents (taking phone or video game privileges away for a kid who is misbehaving), and for friends, who take the keys from another friend...

Anyone have any information or rumors on an AVINOX 900+wh battery?

Any idea if it'll allow the higher power output that the new 700 allows?

Article Video: Teewing Flux 180mm, high-pivot, Avinox EMTB first look and ride

Yeah, in my mind, that is one of the big advantages of the new Amflows. Along with more increments in the chainstay setting, they have a greater spread in the Hi/Low setting, so with a 27.5" wheel you can lengthen the chainstay (which will drop the bike) but then put it in the Hi shock setting...

    Pivot Amp’d Avinox

Damn buddy, you go through some frames, it's not often that I see numbers like that (plus your broken Scors)! Looking forward to seeing how your Norco holds up now, as you are a legit example of real world testing to failure!

Those who do bike parks or like to hit jumps

I would imagine it does. The new Bosch update gives users some sort of "airtime" measurement, and Specialized had something like that at least as far back as 2022, so it would be hard to imagine the newest most cutting edge motor not including sensors for that sort of thing. I've never heard of...

Sea Otter 2026: EMTB Specific Highlights

Yeah, that thing seems like it has some real juice. The thing that gave me pause about it is, if I'm not mistaken, the pedals don't directly drive the drivetrain, right? Instead the pedals are essentially a generator to help supply electricity and then the motor drives the drivetrain, correct...

Avinox launch 1500w M2S motor and cheaper M2 motor

Hell yeah, brother! What, you don't have a small gas generator that you bring to charge your bike while sitting in your clean, quiet, high speed rail? ;)

    New Intense Tazer

I just saw new pics of the Tazer from the Sea Otter. By the size of that downtube, looks like it'll accept the 800wh Bosch battery. Then checked their website and see it says coming 5/4/26. I kind of figured the delay might be due to a last minute switch to Avinox, as they've been teasing this...

Curious about others' experience with warranty claims

Man, that is totally rediculous! If he crashed and a rock cracked the side of the seatstay (it has happened to me), then I could understand the crash replacement offer (rather than warranty) but if the bike stayed upright and the frame just broke under the load then that seems almost certainly...

Curious about others' experience with warranty claims

I'll be following this with interest, as this whole Avinox/Amflow warranty situation has been a big question for me that will influence if I buy one. I can tell you from experience with other big bike brands, damage like you describe would totally be at their discretion, and how "cool" they want...

Article Video: Teewing Flux 180mm, high-pivot, Avinox EMTB first look and ride

That's a nice looking bike, congratulations! How do you like it so far? Also that is great info about the actual seatpost insertion depth! That is interesting you are running a 30.9mm with a shim, rather than the 31.6mm. Depending on if the restriction at the bottom of the tube is a hard stop...
