My point is, the ease of configuration should come from Shimano. Not a 3rd party.

Lucky, I called twice today, no luck with the consumer option. The shop, where I've left the bike, also didn't have any luck, presumably on the dealer line. Hopefully they are on a retreat to come up with better customer service options.

I'm sure eMax can help but I don't want a 3rd-party solution. As a Shimano customer, I should only have to deal with them and their affiliates.

My replacement EP801 came from Shimano USA, shipped from CA. I have been loyal to shimano MTB products but this experience has me reconsidering that loyalty for their e mtb products.

What's the rationale for a USA issued EP801 to have EU speed limits?!...and the enormous hassle of getting it changed to the USA speed limit.

I have the E Tube app and PCE device but don't see an option to change the destination. Is it buried in the app somewhere not obvious?

My EP801 was swapped but the assist limit is set to 25km/h :( What are my options for setting the limit to 32km/h and changing the wheel circumference?

Negative. My LBS gave me a brand new battery, after a couple of laps in boost on the hills of my neighborhood, the bike went dark. I disconnected, cleaned, inspected the main terminals of the battery mount and motor and still hasn't come back to life. My LBS is swapping the motor out next.

Thanks, I see your points in the document. This is expensive. I can' t believe Shimano won't let consumers change the gear mode. There aren't any laws in the USA that pertain to the gear mode. I can understand the other speed governing settings, them being shielded from general public...
