2025 ZF Bike Eco System - New Motor!

RIP ZF....maybe you'll be back with newer lighter solid state battery tech?🤗

Teewing Force Review - The Bike That Made All My Other Rides Jealous

How is the insertion depth of the dropper and/or stand over height? Can you flush it up aka slam it down?

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

It would be nice but the Beest won't work for battery BMS programming. It would have to be a firmware update, which is unlikely by Bafang.

Ditto: but things I'd change or upgrade. 1) I would have gone with a size up to XL for a longer reach...6'1" with shorter 30" inseam. The lower standover height esp. 27.5 rear is quite generous allowing for a 200 mm plus dropper. 2) Go UDH now with analog Sram T derailleur. 3) will be getting...

2025 ZF Bike Eco System - New Motor!

Only trail ride review I've ever seen was recently last Summer '25. Very positive. Looks like the hulking battery is a mismatch to the tiny motor and the integrated display needs upgrading. Also on the positive, new firmware upgrade, they just bumped up the torque from 90 to 105Nm.

Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

Interesting....was that China direct factory that makes the Rogue for Velduro then? But yeah, the tariff (embargo really at this point) is a real dilemma....I'd hoped that if it came from NZ only at 15% tariffs, which they won't ship due to battery costs apparently. So, I guess $7k gets you a...

Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

Would be decent at 5k🎯...but 6k nah!

Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

Yep! My worry too, markup. Plus, tariffs? Positives are "local" support but I may cost "extra".😜

Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

Here's the latest US info via my FB account yesterday: ✔️Not shipping to USA, but directly setting up US based distribution for support. ✔️Offering frameset no confirmation on price. I assume their Website price at around $5,100 USD ✔️Probably not sooner than Winter sounds like Spring/Summer. 👇

    Maxon Air S 90Nm 620 W, 600/400. + 250Wh extender

Interesting the New Trek Fuel + has the upgraded TQ60 with a 580Wh option? Jus' sayn...that's a pretty efficient system too. Yet, it's only 60Nm. So, a 90Nm Maxon with 600Wh should service many, as would likely a 800 Wh for those looking to push longer range rides without carrying the extender.

    Maxon Air S 90Nm 620 W, 600/400. + 250Wh extender

Yeah, that i know from direct DIY build experience, with 3rd party batteries. It's harder to have 4 anchoring points for 2 separate batteries in a fixed, stable position. This is especially true in a slimmer bottomtube to less easily get that first battery up there in proper mounting position...

    Maxon Air S 90Nm 620 W, 600/400. + 250Wh extender

Just thinking out loud here. Would be nice, especially for me as a heavier guy...the 800 Wh for most riding, plus the extender for epic singletrack adventures. I suppose their argument is the battery and motor is so efficient that the 800Wh is unnecessary, yet they offer the big extender. I...

    Maxon Air S 90Nm 620 W, 600/400. + 250Wh extender

Decent first review. Definitely looks to compete! Look forward to more! Again, 90Nm with 600Wh plus extender works me! Now can I afford a Maxon bike...would like to see more 170+ offerings...maybe USA makers like Intense or Canfield? Also, Leo thanks for the shakedown ride and scoop on the Maxon.👊

Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

No, I haven't tried, I think pre-order...but I'm waiting to hear back. Doubt I can afford anything til next summer...maybe 💸💸💸

Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

I was on the Velduro website last night...for the US frameset, it looks like a fairly large window from late Fall to late Spring delivery plans and $8500 NZ = roughly $5k+/- USD...I've emailed them for confirmation. Then add our dumb US 15% tariff on NZ = $750 (this could been a new RS Vivid...

Eddie Currents; Who's using this hunk of plus 2.8" rubber to minimize sidewall slices on chunk and rocks?

Just adding my 4 months of rider input of my rear EC 2.8 tire. I wanted better sidewall protection for my Enduro rig on very sharp, rocky trails. Also, these trails have horses frequently traveling through them, thus adding way more fresh broken stones in the trail bed than most other...

    Maxon Air S 90Nm 620 W, 600/400. + 250Wh extender

Yeah, I think now peeps are cautious of a newer motor player wanting to know how a compact drive unit can withstand heat dissipation and overall reliability, which only time will tell. I think the same is true for the tiny ZF Centrix DU now upgraded to 750 W and 105Nm. However, the very scant...
