Who actually wants more than 85nm and 400%

No, that would bore me to death. For the same reason I watch Downhill racing and not uphill racing/XC. Excitement and skill at the bleeding edge. I can't say I've ever had a sense of exhilaration at the end of a climb as I have at the bottom of a Kiwi Double black. IMO of course.

Who actually wants more than 85nm and 400%

Agree, the only strava times that matter between me and my riding buddies are downhill times, because they are the only ones that are consistent and rely on actual skill and control. No point trying to get KOM's uphill around here when we have beasts like Matthew Fairbrother living nearby on...

120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

Yea, I can understand it from a selling more bikes point but all it does is turn people off Bosch. The gen4 is easily capable of 45kph but they only allow it on the latest Gen 5. Doesn't really worry me, as I wouldn't have considered a Gen 5 for my next bike. My LBS just confirmed Gen 5 ONLY

120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

Was there any cost? I'm pretty friendly with my LBS.. Also I wonder if this can be upgraded to Gen 4 CX, its exactly the same situation as Gen 5 so I don't see why not, but then again Bosch.. 45kph would really help my work commute.

Can I fit a coil shock on the Trek Rail 9.8?

@cashblack I'm 106kg and the Bomber CR above has a 600lb spring. No bottom outs and been perfect for my riding.

No probs. If you just keep in mind when watching the colour at the split (green for faster, red for slower) is ALWAYS in comparison to the current hot seat (fastest rider completed the run). People can get mixed up when looking at individual sections. 👊

Can I fit a coil shock on the Trek Rail 9.8?

You definitely can on a MY22 onwards. This is my 2022 9.8 in medium.

I just told you Gwin was the 8th quickest to the first split. Forget trying to say he was fastest to the first split. The -0.34 denotes he was quicker at the first split than the current fastest rider Asa Vermette. Its pretty simple.

    DH World Cup thread

I'll have a go at trying to explain this to you. Using hopefully simple to understand data Gwin started 11th out of 30 riders. At the first split the green 0.34 seconds shows Gwins time relative to the current rider in the hot seat which was Asa (Gwin did 38.744 to 1st split and Asa did...

I personally love the track as it’s just full on. Kiwis obviously love it rowdy too. NZ had 9/40 top ten places in junior woman/elite woman and junior men/elite men. Similar happened last year. The NZ riders just love balls to the wall speed haha.

    DH World Cup thread

Agree on the NZ thing, 1 reason for sure is 10 years ago Christchurch got its permanent chairlift bike park opened. The amount of descent that the kids can do in a day (easily 5,000-8,000m of descent in runs per day) really helps their growth. Not to mention riders from all over NZ can use a...

For those International fans or kiwis, MTB WS has just released an app so you don't need to use the browser on mobile devices anymore. Great to see!

Just to clarify, this 45kph limit is not confirmed by anyone yet. I got the Flow update 1.36.5 this morning.

Dropping out of the top 10 hurts. Only 2 riders got points with a 2nd and 3rd. Onwards and upwards for next round. Halfway through the comp. Time to pick up some decent points in the 2nd half of races.

Well done. Think I only got 3 through. Some real outsiders did well in Q2. Going to be a great race to watch today
