Specialized Warranty Expired - battery failure, what are my options?

You can try it, of course. Just bridge those 2 points before removing the BMS from the pack. And remove the bridge once it's installed (all connections to the pack).

Specialized Warranty Expired - battery failure, what are my options?

Yes, I could do that (I think I already pointed out in one of my previous posting on this forum), but from your description, yours is most likely locked. Also, pack you're having is using LG MH1 cells which are crap, especially after a few years. I would never use LG in any of my builds and if...

Specialized Warranty Expired - battery failure, what are my options?

The big one is a Mosfet, here’s what you need to check. Be careful not to do any shorts in the process as you can easily destroy the bms by making a short by mistake, when taking measurements. Remember it’s a powered circuit you are working on! And without proper equipment and skills it’s not...

Specialized Warranty Expired - battery failure, what are my options?

Hi, As long as the battery is discharging normally, it’s not locked (Pf status set). Most likely you have a problem on the charging circuit. Check charging mosfet for shorts or low resistance and also check SFC charging fuse (close to the charging Mosfet). Most likely , that’s the cause for...

Other Specialized Rumours Thread (What's next?!)

Sorry to say, the LevoX looks better. What's with that skinny downtube when the bike is meant for something called Overland. Or what was it... Good thing Amflow/DJI didn't venture towards this "new" segment and guess/hope they never will. It will be a SHAME if they do. Also hope Levo will...

Specialized Warranty Expired - battery failure, what are my options?

The lock is in MCU not AFE chip (AN49511A). I could potentially help, but you will need to send the battery to our workshop. Where are you located?

Well, I think that's it for me...

Just to make clear, no discrimination here. Age /sex doesn't matter... I mean, I can also imagine a young woman with false nails and pumped up things doing exactly the same. It can even be more toxic. Also, a mature man :)

Well, I think that's it for me...

Well, you’re one of the few lucky ones. Most of us can’t, regardless of emotional charge (love or hate)towards “Avi” :-) But here’s the exception, such a new thread already spanning over multiple pages., not having Avi in the title…well the content is a different story… I’m literally bombarded...

What battery type/model is that? It doesn't seem a Specialized one.

Sharing my explosive experience with a derailleur on a muddy day, uphill…got downhill with no chain. I left a trail of pieces in just a couple of seconds.

Giant working on new battery format

In general, Giant is using good batteries but they are nothing extraordinary in terms of power/energy density. 22700 format is somewhat a non standard size, manufactured by Panasonic, mainly. Giant uses Panasonic cells/electronics in their batteries for quite a while. But to be frank, I don't...

🚴 Why Don't You Ride to Work or for Everyday Commitments?

Guess it depends on where you live, how friendly that place is to "especially" designed commuting (e)bikes. To me, commuting in Bucharest with a road/city bike is way more dangerous than doing it with a(n) (e)MTB. -Thare are no bike lanes on my itinerary but plenty of crazy/frustrated...

Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Alloy is this a torque sensor or sprag clutch issue or.....?

I understand what you described and I can say it's normal. Try it on eco (or lower peak power settings) you will see the said clunk is reduced. That's also the reason for Tero4X not doing the same as it has way lower peak power. It also depends on how quick you stop the pedals (crank rotation)...

    Avinox M2S: 1,500W, 150Nm, and a PR Offensive

That's more like a happy customer pitch not a sales pitch. He's just enthusiastic about his purchase. Although, even with arguments, some minds can be changed and some cannot. If Avinox "fanboys"(customers, OEMs) numbers are rising fast on such a new brand, it might be something interesting...
