Yes it is the cabel swap. You need to remove the consoles at both ends of the battery. They have some adjustments so it is easy to misalign them.

Battery alignment is crucial. My battery got stuck after first attempt. If you are going to install lights which operates by the main battery, route out the cable that hides on above the battery`s upper terminal.

You should avoid your LBS instead. I have the Lezyne 1000 and its working perfectly!

I have. It is neat to use the same battery. Heard there is a special reserve for lights. Trek included the wire already (you need to fish it out though) but you need to stop by LBS to activate it. Now I can switch on the lights from the Kiox by pressing a button.

I dropped the motor for easier cable routing. It`s not that difficult. Taking out the battery end consoles was tougher.

I am also 5,4 and ride a M sized Rail 7. I`m very happy with the bike. Stand over is a ”close call” ;) but I am fine with it.

I changed it to Kiox (retrofit) and mount it to the stem before my first ride. Much better but not perfect.

What brand and type is the splash guard at the back you are using?

Make sure that the chain ring is tight (with Locktight). Mine came loose and the took a bite of the lower link.

Yes you can. I did it when installing the Kiox retro kit to my Trek Rail 7. No need to take it off.

I have the Rail 7 too. Never experienced such a noise.

I have a Rail 7 also and Kiox retrofit installed to the stem. It is optimal for viewing. I used the screw on the mount so it is not coming off. Kiox is much better compared to Purion. Nice to see my heart rate when paired with heart rate chest band.

I bought the Trek Rail 7 from a Specialized dealer. Did not even consider the Levo because of Brose reliability. Changed the Purion to Kiox before the first ride. Rail 7 is a fantastic now with the newest Bosch software (eMTB Lite mode)!

I`ve had a Trek Rail 7 for about 1,5 months. Was planning to by the 9 but the shops didn`t have any here in Finland and I got a good bargain for the last Trek in that shop (Specialized dealer). What I`ve read, the Shimano is better vs. Sram. I also had the chainring lockring issue. Really like...

The same here: Trek Rail 7 in Finland. First maintenance now done after 300 kms. Excellent bike!
