120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

You mean 25kph - 15 mph? I have the update and it feels very very similar to the 100nm setting. Without looking at the app or doing timing runs I would not know. Although if as people have said they would exceed 750w if they had it at high cadence. My test were fast uphill so that would...

New Bosch Torque Update V Amflow

I won't bother updating 100nm is fine with me .

Bosch Gen 5 Rumour - More Power updates coming!

Probbly more a marketing update. The 100nm/750w upgrade means the moter now derates for heat and so it will do that even quicker. The 85nm mode will run all day without derate. I suspect that for 99% of the use cases an upgrade will make no real difference. The Avinox derates as well !

Bosch Performance CX ticking sound while keeping pedals and wobbling chain. Sound record attached.

That sounds like the Freehub/ratchet inside the motor working normally.

    Santa Cruz Vala

All the places I look including the LBS I got my Vala from still have the X0 at£9999. Are you sure you did not see an XX price although that is 11999.

The R and the S probably have the same weight limits on suspension. Both front and back are Air so you should be able to pump them up for your weight. Both the Zeb (r) and Fox 38 (s) are good choices for heavier riders as them have 38mm chassis. All models have 38mm forks on so no better on the...

Upgrading mountain bikes is much simpler than motorbikes. Most things are interchangeable (not all like T Type mechs). There are only really 3 or 4 suspension manufacturers and they are all interchangeable as a unit (fork or shock complete). The base level Fork and shock on the R model are good...

The bike came from SC with upgraded fork and shock. The LBS was as surprised as me :-) I suspect as it was a very early bike that SC did not have the lower spec available so fitted the higher stuff , free of charge. It is an R Spec bike

Well . I bought an R kit bike and think it is great. Seatpost is SDG which I have been using for years without problem. Brakes are OK and do have 220 rotors, at some point I will change them for hopes NOT Mavens as fitted to the higher spec bikes. Drive train works fine on an ebike (who needs...

The Vala is longer and slacker so it will not ride the same even if they were the same weight. What is your definition of "normal" ? It all depends on what "non ebike" you are comparing it to.

Do you own more than one EMTB?

5 at the moment . YT Decoy, Canyon Neuron, 2X Spec Creo and a Santa Cruz Vala. They are shared between my wife and I .

They come standard with Avinox as that is the name of the DJI drive train ;-)

Is that a mounting bush or just a seal around the bolt head to keep crap out? Did the motor move when you had it in your hand? I would expect a moulded in metal insert for the motor mount. Not good just not dangerous.

Look earlier in the thread, someone has put a longer stoke shock in taking it to 162mm rear travel. Not really needed though.
