    Need to replace rear shock

Quick question, can I simply remove the shock or will it explode in my hands as I'm removing it :D

    Need to replace rear shock

Thanks guys, I'll go down the professional help route I think. Its performing ok at the moment, just leaking a bit of oil but that will run out soon no doubt!

    Need to replace rear shock

Do you think the Lapierre item is made by Rockshox?

    Need to replace rear shock

Hi Guys, due to stupidity and letting the bike stand clamp scratch the shock tube, its leaking oil so presumably its toast and needs replacing. Now I'm a complete newbie on this subject. I realise that 230x60 is the size I need but see that generally they don't come with bushings fitted and I...

    Lapierre thought?

Update report: After a bit over 2 months and 400 miles, i really like the bike :) Flows through the woodland trails with no effort. A pleasure to ride, enjoying owning it! One little niggle at the moment, i've noticed a light tapping sound over bumps, which sounds like it's coming from the...

    Smart system newbie

Been using the smart system now for 3 months and really like it. The ebike lock feature has worked without issue.

    Bike lock warning

But if you exit the app on your phone the connection is lost and the motor wont unlock. You can still pedal it away though!

Flow not recording route on map

Whilst the trace on mine can be a few yards out, the app has been recording normally without the long spikes that I used to get before making the app to always on. The 1.26.9 update didn't change anything for me.

    Lapierre thought?

I'm trying to upload a video that I sent to paulscycles but it wont let me!. With the front brake on I was bouncing the forks and it was clonking. The bike (and me) got a proper test today while I was trying, unsuccessfully, to keep up with my son and his mate !!

    Lapierre thought?

I briefly researched this. I don't think any of them relay the speed correctly and also the Bosch smart system is very good at detecting the de-restrictors and shutting down. I decided not to proceed so I would be very careful. Make sure you look for one suitable for the Bosch smart system.

    Lapierre thought?

A little update. As I said earlier, the forks developed a knocking. Pauls Cycles diagnosed a faulty damper and paid me the carriage back to them. They sent them off to SRAM to repair under warranty which they duly did. The forks arrived back with me only 8 days after I sent them, so pretty...

Flow not recording route on map

Good question! I have phone in my pocket. I did a bit of googling and only discrepancy I had was that my phone location services was ticked only while using app. Yesterday I changed it to always allow. I did two rides and both recorded everything as normal. Going to try again later today...

Flow not recording route on map

Done 10 rides now. Mostly all been recorded ok. The 4th ride didn't record the route on the map. The 9th ride did record but not following the actual route. Just tracing vaguely in the right direction with one wildly out detour of a few miles! Today the 10th ride and again no route on map. When...

    Lapierre thought?

I had trouble with the front too! Had no trouble seating it with my airshot canister, just couldn't stop air leaking around the spokes. The rim tape I had was a tad wide so after 3 attempts took it all off and went to the LBS. Admittedly it did lose pressure again overnight but the next ride it...

    Lapierre thought?

Here's what Pauls sent me, t might be that you're not pushing the key in far enough (see attached image) You need to push the key in as far as it will go, so there's only a fraction of the metal part of the key visible. It does a dull sort of click into place, then a clockwise turn and the...

    Lapierre thought?

I had the same problem. It turned what I thought was all the way. Pauls advised to give it some welly!! You do have to push against the spring in the latch mechanism quite firmly and the battery will pop out a bit. You then push down a lug on top of the battery itself to release.
