    Trek freewheel / hub question?

A bit off eMTB but since there's so many who wrench here thought maybe someone might have an answer? This is a Allant 7 Trek eBike. Anyone know how to extract the freehub body to grease it? Have taken off non-drive side cone / lock nut / spacer but nothing. Can't get under the hub body to...

    2022 Rails

Stopped into a Trek owned company store yesterday to pick up a spare chain ring nut and noticed they had about 20 new Rails of various models on the floor. Guess the supply chain has opened up some. What I found interesting is that all the new bikes now have significant more space between the...

    Just an Observation

Out and about riding local trails I'm finding more and more the riders on eMTBs'. Being retired mid-week is my weekend and for that I'm grateful. Have lived in the same area for 27 years, but have never enjoyed the riding experience more. Just about every ride I'll see another one or two...

Does anyone also ride a gravel eBike?

Half the off road opportunities around me are better suited to a gravel bike. Started looking at the offerings and there's quite a bit to choose from. On many of my rides I'll see a gaggle of gravel riders. Thinking it might be a nice compliment to the eMTB. As a bonus they're much better...

    High End Bike Availability

Made the rounds today looking for some new shoes. Went to several shops and there are an amazing amount of eMTB's in my general vicinity. Mainly Trek and Specialized. If you've got the $$$ they have the bikes. Lots of mid level MTB's flooding the floors as well. Don't know where all this...

Bike Supply - Rail's are landing but they seem to be 2021 models still

There's lots of talk about bike supply and parts the world over. FYI - one of the many local Trek shops in my area has now 4 high end carbon frame 9+ models on the floor! I was shocked to see the bikes this weekend. Specific shop is in Alamo, CA. It's a Trek company store, of which they have...

    Sea Otter Classic

Anyone else following this event in Monterey CA this weekend? All things bicycle. Lots of new products and manufactures showing off goods. One eMTB I particularly like was the Swiss brand called Flyer been manufacturing ebikes for 26 years! Lots of video links sharing the fun. Not sure when...

    Handlebar Jack

While trying to organize a repair kit to keep on the bike found this nifty gadget that would certainly help working on the wheels if you have a display or something else impeding from turning the bike upside down. It's called the Handlebar Jack Ingenious idea. Anyone use one of these?

    First EV

Fully expected my first EV to be an Energica moto but ended up with a Trek rail instead. Still got two wheels so I'm stoked to see how much fun it is. The eMTB will be better for me in the long run.

    eMTB time

Just joined the growing ranks of eMTB riders. Not so easy to find a decent bike these days. At the price point suppose it might be just as well to start somewhere reasonable and see where it takes me? Found a Trek rail 7 that has decent components. Haven't even taken a ride and thinking the...
