Now let's move on to what I think is an important topic.
The cablerouting will no longer be through the steering as it has been until now, but through the frame.
...today saying my bikes been delayed by a week, it sounds like the motors have just been released from Customs.
They confirmed that the cablerouting has been re-done so there is one gromet one each side of the head tube that can both accept two cables making the routing neater for euro/uk...
Agreed, the headset routing on the last Trance E+ Elite was a disaster. After dealing with that headset routing is a big CON for me when comparing new bikes.
...SOLD
Yes the cable is included, these are normally purchased separately
Just checked the cable and the code is printed on the actual cable, and it is called the routing away from the battery holder and is 50mm version.
PowerMore cable, cablerouting away from the battery holder, 50 mm...
They have to do new molds for the Avinox, I presume they will remove the headset cablerouting.
I build my own bikes and consider myself an expert at brakes, so I'm ultimately fine with headset cablerouting, but would prefer otherwise.
i better don't comment on that. But i wish you good luck in getting rid of the idiots in charge...
@michel uit berg can you make a foto of the Hole in the Frame for cabel routing ? Is it for cablerouting ?
I would prefer to put the brake hose through this hole and not the steering braket.
That looks really decent. Dual crown compatible (that was promised for velduro but never materialised) plus there appears to be cablerouting for those of us who dont want wireless gears and dropper.
Good job orbea 👍
Now make it available frame only.
...through the headset. I had some bad experiences with this on my Orbea Wild, so I’m a bit cautious.
My question: is it easy to remove the fork and install it again on your own without causing problems with the headset or cablerouting? Or would you recommend going through the dealer?
Thanks!
...few gotchas worth knowing about before you pull anything apart.
The stock dropper on the Gen 2 Levo SL is the X-Fusion Manic, and the cablerouting on these frames is genuinely a bit awkward.
The cable has to route in a non-obvious way between the motor mounts, and the Gen 2 routing differs...
So I believe what happened is that the new motors prototype was designed with the older cable (micro A) and so naturally the frames were designed around this. I was even told that there’s zero clearance issues and that the cable routes easily.
At some point DJI decided to switch the connector...
@RickBullotta - fair point, and a good one.
I kept it at a general level and glossed over some eMTB-specific steps.
To flesh it out properly for the PX:
Steps I should have included:
•
Cable/hose management first - before anything else, photograph the existing hose routing.
The PX has...
