Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

yep good to know, yes I would use a steel hammer on a brass drift. I just replaced the bearings in the freehub on my rise the same way.

    Confused which mudguard

I've got the same on my bikes. The newer rear mudhugger has an extra flap that extends forwards which is especially good on the Rise, protecting the charging port as well as bearings. (mudrocker looks effective too)

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

@Rod B. Do you think it's worth doing on a new frame before it gets ridden or just wait until it needs done? Frame sat in garage awaiting final parts, or am I just wasting my time?

    Rise main pivot bearings

Bump. Seems to be a dearth of info on how to do Rise bearing replacements and the appropriate tools. Mine (and K's) definitely need doing (but they've done two summers and a winter)

Orbea Rise upper axle grease and thread lock only maintenance.

Thank you Rod. I have seen the articles; they are fantastic and much appreciated. I was going to use the first to try and do what you described here, so it was fortunate timing for me to see this. I do most of my own work but I'm definitely not advanced. Though I do already have that torque...

Orbea Rise rear derailleur hanger mounting kit issue

excellent to hear, can you confirm it still sits 5mm or so from being flush. it still doesnt look right that a hollow aluminium bolt seems to be the only thing keeping the seatstay non drive side attached to the rest of the bike. Are there any other Orbea rise owners that have noticed the non...

    Orbea Rise H15 creaking

Thanks Rod, will look at this when I get chance. Plenty of time though, as I don’t have a charger for the bike at the moment. Been 3 weeks without one and just been told that it’s not been shipped by Orbea yet!!

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Well, that sucks…. I’ve seen several Rise chain stays where the milling on the bearing bore has been for shit. This is the first time I’ve heard of the notch missing. It seems like you have several options. The Rise has a two year warranty. It’s clearly a defect not having the notch. You can...

Orbea Rise upper axle grease and thread lock only maintenance.

Cookie, The Rise Blue Paper for both models (Years 21/2022 & 2023) show that the upper axle pivot bearings have stayed the same (Enduro 6804). Therefore it may be possible to do the conversion. To have a better idea, we need to know if the design of the chain stay arm where it mounts to the...

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Hi Guys, I´m new here in the forum. I read a lot about the bearing change procedures. Thanks a lot @Rod B. On my Rise H15 2022 which I ride since December 2022 I did a deep inspection of the bearings during the fork and the shock were disassembled for servicing. I found out, that both...

Rail (625Wh) Rail Gen 2 motor reliability

Gen2 had the tiny chainring which span at a different speed to the cranks. Incredibly solidly built motor but really needed bearing man's extra seals to stop moisture ingress. Gen4 was the normal sized chainring. (gen3 was a commuter type motor). Worth doing the grease change behind the...

    2020 Kenevo + EXT Storia?

It’s not what you asked but Chris at Mojo Rising / Geometron bikes fixed me up with a v3 Storia for my KSL. (Custom shorter piggyback, spherical bearing one end. Those help lots with side loads) It’s fab. Better pedalling. Better grip. Smoother ride on the chunder. Go for it. If you’re in the...

I'm starting to regret getting my Orbea Rise...

"I'm starting to regret getting my Orbea Rise" ... yeah, me too bought in May 2023 - a week after the purchase I noticed a crack in the lower engine mount - so I complained. No response from the dealer until July, then it was confirmed that a new frame was coming. I have to pay the costs for...

Anyone install their cascade link for rise yet ?

As it has the clamp bolt assume that's why he said you grease it up. I did the same. I emailed them initially and asked about using loctite, they said no need with the clamp. As it uses the clamp at 5nm it wont matter as no need to preload it as per OEM. Agreed, the instructions were lacking...

Replacing Acros Blocklock on YT Decoy w/Taller Lower Headset "Cup" SOLVED

I wonder if you could use a "reverse components" .5⁰ headset race in conjunction with the wolftooth? I think they work with most headset. It didnt work with my "works components" 1⁰ angleset but i think the angleset has a little something different going on with the bearing shape. That would...
