    GOBAO ECVT EMTB Mid-Drive Motor

Can we wait until we get some actual trail time in before making those sort of assumptions. I would doubt there will be much ride time difference between a conventional FF and one of the latest designs. Interesting to see Gaboa go down the 52V route which has long been the go to for the...

Bafang M510 RS - discussion, tuning, firmwares

Efficiency will be probably similar to the Pinion as any energy has to be used by either heat ( friction ) or transferred to the output shaft. Think of it as both motors driving the output shaft having a similar efficiency as 1 motor only. This new jump in technology will be all about the...

    GOBAO ECVT EMTB Mid-Drive Motor

The only way energy could be lost from the smaller motor is through heat (friction ) or for its energy to be absorbed in helping the main motor. In simplistic terms it’s far better to think that both motors are driving the bike forward as any excess energy beyond heat will be outputted to the...

    Dengfu E10 + E23 Carbon Fullsuspension E-Fatbike on Bafang M510

Same in the UK with all the mud and grit damaging that one drive side seal on a too regular basis. I've taken a slightly different solution. Some Bafang 104mm spiders have a flat face extending out about 30mm which conveniently mates to a round protruding section of the engine casing, it...

    Bafang m510

Be interesting to do say 200miles and then compare the motor noise. My M560 is definitely quietening down compared to new as did the M820 motor I have.

    Bafang M560 FC2.0

Mine is only a few months old and supposedly the Quiet version but annoyingly loud at higher rpm. I’ve done a couple hundred clicks on it now and it has quietened down considerably than when new. I know my M510 took over 500 kms to really settle down but this is more electronics than mechanical...

    4th derailleur in 14 month

As a breaker of Shimano XT derailleurs ( they are cheap and plentiful and who needs any more than 10 speeds ) there is something I'm becoming aware of. On all the damaged ones the tension clutch on the outer arm has become too restrictive over miles and puts a lot of tension on the Derailleur...

Bafang M510 RS - discussion, tuning, firmwares

The EBICS firmware FOC Open Source Firmware for Bafang CAN bus controllers with GD32F303 processor is getting mature enough and tested enough to now probably be the way forward if people want to tinker with all parameters of the M820, M510, M560 series engines.

    Slow forum access/BT Internet

I have had a similar issue for some time now using Firefox and it’s advert reducing technology. Switch off the add restrictors and the forum downloads normally but I have to say I’m getting fed up with the volume of pop up adds that now are appearing.

Bafang M510 RS - discussion, tuning, firmwares

Gears are heavy, planetary with 1 drive motor and 1 very small motor controlling the speed of the planetary will give us all the range and control we need.

Bafang M510 RS - discussion, tuning, firmwares

Add a CVT on the side of the planetary and Bafang would be getting ahead, wishful thinking on my part 😄

    Bafang M560

It may look it is missing but the seal sits just behind the Aluminium surrounding the crank. It’s tiny about 4mm thick and the same in depth. That seal is the problem so many of us get water ingress into the motor as I think the factory inserts it the wrong way around. It’s set to prevent...

    New Dengfu Avinox based Frames

Having purchased two frames E10 & E69 from Dengfu I have no issues what so ever. E10 was bought in 2019 ( Probably the first into the UK ) and now has done nearly 5K miles of very harsh UK riding conditions, just changed the bearings this year on the suspension. Quite impressed with all the...

    New Dengfu Avinox based Frames

Does anyone have a drawing of the Avinox motor profile ( mounting locations ) as the M820 motor is not unsimilar. Maybe as an interim we could fit with an adaptor the M820 motor. Sadly the M820 is limited to about 650W’s max but it’s an option until the M25S become available.

    New Dengfu Avinox based Frames

Normally they can supply frame, battery, motor and wiring loom. If they can then they are probably the first company tooffer such. Good light frames as well circa 2.5kgs. https://m.dengfubikes.com/E-Bike-Frame-For-Avinox/E125.html You can pick up the other 3 frames from there.

Bafang M510 MOTOR Firm ware adjustable parameters ?

There is a facility to restrict the speed in each level to a percentage of the max speed. If you start with a 45kph speed in Boost you maybe able to set the lower levels to 25kph ( 54% )

    Bafang M560

Done about 100km now and the motor is quietening down a bit. Quite a lot still of the electrics noise rather than gear noise. My M820 is not unsimilar but still way louder than the original FC01 M510’s which were so quiet. Quite rideable straight out the box, sorry but I like the amount of...

    Bafang M560

its that whining that is really annoying, unfortunately my cadence is in the 80 - 100rpm. They do wear in a bit but its a noisy puppy at the moment.

    Bafang M560

Does anyone know the motor numbers for the latest " quiet " 500W motor. One has just landed at my door with MM G5300.500.C1.0 on the motor itself is 1.0 032.4/3.4 01.2 Not sure that its not the old FC1.0 motor ? Firmware is MMG5300C4819F801032.4
