It shouldn’t be. If you can afford several thousand pounds to buy an emtb , then you should be able to afford the parking fee which goes to help run and maintain the forest, not into someone’s pocket. I’m on holiday so can’t do this one but I went on one a few years ago and it was a good day...

Wet and windy ride on the High Peak trail and the Tissington trail. Both reclaimed old railway lines in Derbyshire . All gravel so a bit boring but wonderful scenery and you get a real sense of the graft that went into building the lines back in the day
