This is exactly why this is the best eMtb forum. Thank you very much.

Full power bikes that are lighter and have shorter chainstays

Playfulness is numerically ranked by size in the bike finder. Are you saying you cannot pull the data?

Full power bikes that are lighter and have shorter chainstays

Use the playfulness measure in the bike finder to order in terms of most to least. Revise from Whyte Karve Evo to Whyte Karve.

Full power bikes that are lighter and have shorter chainstays

What are the current full power bikes that are lighter (under 23kg) and have chain stays that are 450mm or less in size large? One additional constraint is that they should be 160mm+ front and rear. I’m thinking Raymon Tarok, Whyte Karve, Megamo Reason CRB, and maybe Mondraker Zendit.

What are the best Bosch gen 5 bikes with a 800wh battery (or should I just go Avinox)?

Yeah the discounted Orbea Wilds are already very competitive in Europe. I think that’s what I’m going to do on Friday after the Orbea Avinox drop.

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

Watching the Loam Wolf 2026 Shootout and Drew just said everyone detunes the Avinox and suggests it should be shipped in that mode. Not saying it’s right, but the comment was about how much power is actually usable on single track. Edit to note that 3 of the 3 testers asked which motor they’d...

    🗞️ Greg's Weekly eMTB Briefing - 08 Jun 2026

So best eMtb of 2026? is how E-MOUNTAINBIKE magazine titles all of their reviews. They’re not being particularly telling from the title. The results won’t be known until they issue their awards.

They unlock when you change your region. That’s why people use vpns to unlock. It’s software, not hardware.

I disagree. I anticipate more regulation in Europe soon. I don’t think the bike reviews and motor reviews are all negative either. They’re exhaustive, and critical, but the negative stuff is mostly focused on one retailer that is disrupting the market. Disruption brings innovation, but...

    Authorities are waking up...

I got the impression from the Avinox post a few weeks ago that they’re fine with OTA updates to limit power as required by jurisdiction. Whether that’s easy to hack or not is another question, but I think an OTA update would be the minimum to cover themselves under various consumer product...

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

I’m more interested in the Bosch Wild pricing once it drops. In Germany I’m already seeing aggressive pricing on 2026 Wild M10 at 5600€. Hoping for the same on an m team, but nothing yet. Maybe all the secrecy is to avoid making the previous gen sales difficult?

What new features would you like to see...

More efficient lighter bikes. Kind of sounds like a tq wish list other than more power. With that said I’m not strong enough yet to go mid-power or sl bike.

Levo gen 3 Alloy Weight weenie

I’m not sure where you got 60kg, I’m 95kg and only run knee pads and a regular helmet. I’ll need to add a chest protector and 3/4 or full face soon.

Levo gen 3 Alloy Weight weenie

I should be a little clearer. I’m less worried about weight than felt weight. The bikes feels good going fast and when I’m fresh. I’m trying to increase my cadence to help with battery use and lift weights to be better at handling the bike longer. It doesn’t feel overly heavy and since most of...

Levo gen 3 Alloy Weight weenie

How can I reduce the weight of my Levo gen 3 comp alloy while keeping it enduro capable? Currently I have a oneup carbon bar, carbon wheels on order (Syntace c33 gravity), schwalbe super trail radials (Romy front and Albert rear) tubeless. I was using the 500wh, but it wasn’t enough range for...

Less than 20kg full power E for my short AF wife.

Sounds like you need a big brand for service and support. As a result a lot of the lighter bikes (Raymon Tarok, Thomus, Megamo) won’t be a great fit. I think you can probably get close with a transition regulator cx. If you’re open to mullet probably a few more choices.

eMTBs with lightest handling feel: 600-800Wh class?

Greg you’re correct here. My goal is 5-6k feet of vertical and while a lighter power bike may fit I haven’t seen others do range tests that support that yet. I welcome folks experience with range on these bikes (Revel Rerun, Fuel+, Sresh SL).
