E Thirteen Cassettes (specifically the 13-52)

thinking about changing to the 13-52 12x on my E-MTB, any experience with it ? (not the 9-52) currently running GX-Eagle with gabaruk 10-52 12x. which is faultless. However: want to keep low climbing gear -> max has to be 52T No point having a pedalling gear much over the EU pedelec support...

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

pressed the button on the vado SL. Holding off on the fork, seems the fox and the rudy don't play well with 650b. more research to do.

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

I am just the anti-theft due dilgence away from a vado SL ebay purchase,, and got a Fox 40mm lined up there as well. Grizl: onfly looked really nice...I did the research... strange headset size, you are tied to a specific subset of Ritchey stems.

but will not take a dropper because they put a farkin D-shape post on it. so many bikes are DSQ'ing from my shortlist due to non-standard stuff.

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

that cube bike also on my short list, and the mods you are talking is exactly my plan as well. 40mm rudy or fox gravel fork, 50mm tyres (or bigger) on 650b DT swiss gravel wheelset (which I have), dropper.

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

thanks. except, full suss frames have small main triangle. want to keep that full size, for frame bags. Currently looking at getting a 2nd hand spesh vado SL and changing fork on it. Basically giving me a something not far off an old school hardtail. whether I do a full change to drops, or...

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

Thanks... your brain goes the same place as me. I spent a lot of time looking at the Grizl:Onfly, and almost pulled the trigger to buy. Then I realised it has a very rare 1 1/2" headtube. Which means there are only about 3 aftermarket stems you can use. I will ALWAYS need a high riser stem -...

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

having checked it out, their Lande seems more towards the "allroad" end of gravel. Rigid fork, 45mm tyres, 72 degree head angle (actually steeper than their E-road which is 71). I already have a bike like that - a specialised turbo creo v1. Which is not able to handle the riding I am doing /...

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

thanks. yes, aware there are not many frame & motor options out there - I was wandering into this forum primarily to see if there was anyone who'd done gravel build with a chinese frame and a smaller bafang. 2nd hand bike as a donor is one I've done a lot of research into , and you'd think that...

DIY E-Gravel with suspension fork build

thought I'd post this in here as couldn't figure out where else I'm looking to build up a light weight (low power motor, smaller battery, built-in), ideally mid-drive , gravel bike. For me, gravel means long days out (100km+), where the trails are very non-technical, but the trail surface...

Project to enable Bosch + Garmin integration

by the way, not the answer to this exact question but I've found a workaround to get the data post-ride. I have two bikes: 1x bosch EMTB gen4, 1x specialised SL bosch e-bike , I record rides on ebike controller, bosch portal syncs them to strava. This includes power data because it came from...

lighting voltage regulator: Bosch CX 36v to 8.4v, high power (monteer 8000)

I have a Bosch CX Gen4 EMTB.. night riding season is approaching. I use Magicshine Monteer 8000, have used it with the separate battery pack. I'd like to hard wire it this year. I know the motor light output doesn't have anywhere near enough power so its a case of tapping directly off the...

    considering Kiox to nyon retrofit

thanks, although it has custom modes, that would definitely count as a derestriction chip, which is not something I want to do.

    considering Kiox to nyon retrofit

hi all I have kiox on a scott e-genius 2020 model. kiox is mounted on the stem cap. I have been riding much more for fitness recently and realised I would like less assist than even Eco, from the motor during most of a ride. I stopped using Emtb several months back, and never ever use turbo. I...

Eagle PG1230 NX Eagle 3rd cog bent / Stiffer 12x cassette EMTB specced

this isn't tooth wear, its the actual cog bending. although wear could be a contributor to less-than-perfect shifts that could have caused the bend itself, I'm convinced its the construction method that allows the bend to happen. I've compared the PG-1230 to an XG-1275 cassette and the...

Eagle PG1230 NX Eagle 3rd cog bent / Stiffer 12x cassette EMTB specced

my EMTB, scott e-genius, has sram nx eagle 12x PG1230 cassette. standard splined freehub. recently towards the end of a ride I noticed some gears become unusable, it turned out the 3rd largest cog (36T) has a significant (about 4mm) away-from-the-wheel bend in it for about 3 teeth-worth, almost...
