Amflow PL Carbon owners, check your seat tube for cracks!

Whilst this is an excellent example how to repair a cracked CF frame, (as many folks are not DIYers, this is definitely NOT a newbie DIY repair), it should ultimately be up to the manufacturer to provide the repair/replacement if the frame/part falls within the warranty period & serial number...

Amflow PL Carbon owners, check your seat tube for cracks!

Exactly, bru'. Amflow & all bike mfgs. can & do track all of their frames through a unique serial number. What their written policy is & what Amflow does can be two distinct & different ideas. I was in high reliability manufacturing for years, & if an item had a traceable serial number back to...

And everyone should have a steady hand & be a pro photographer. 🙄 If you think it's AI, give proof, otherwise you're comment just another faceplant. 🤣

Do 12 speeds still make sense for full powered EMTB's?

Get yourself the cheaper Deore & I'm sure you'll be happy with it. I've had too many issues with XT & up-priced brands to screw with their finicky natures ever again. Thanks for all of the info you've garnered on the chains/chain wear. That's just bloody BRILLIANT doing a rotation on chains &...

Do 12 speeds still make sense for full powered EMTB's?

Coming from the race days of triple chainrings, front derailleurs, 6-7-8-9 speed cog sets, SRAM twist shifters & DID chains, transmissions has gotten simpler AND more complex. Personally, I've struck upon my own sweet spot for my emtbs & meat bikes...10sp. I live in a VERY hilly area in the...

Coal miners suffered from "Black Lung." MTB riders suffer from "Black Fly Lung." 😉🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

    Insects

Recently diagnosed with Lyme disease. I despise those little bastards with every drop of blood in my body! In my youth I'd come home with up to a dozen of them crawling around on me, but was never infected till this year. At almost 70y/o I'm not thrilled with the prospect of treating with...

WARNING - Do not pay AmFlow via direct bank transfer and expect a refund

Same here. The wife finally agreed to let me order an Amflow, but after this shit storm of negative stories about the company, there is NO way in hell I'm making that big a purchase only to get screwed before AND after the sale. Hey, Amflow... Walmart gives much better sales/service on their $79...

WARNING - Do not pay AmFlow via direct bank transfer and expect a refund

Yet, if there was a show of hands, many members on this forum would admit to purchasing from Alibaba/Aliexpress with no issues. The major issue here is the manner in which funds were being distributed. As many others have already pointed out, Paypal or a credit card would have avoided ALL of it...

What's the worst value ebike currently available?

That is just an embarrassing price. I imagine the company will claim they are 'flying off the shelves.' For THAT price, I expect the damned thing to actually FLY! 🤣

Recommended me a front rotor and pads 😎

The point here is the pads you use, no matter the brake hardware brand, make a huge difference. The three sets of pads I installed before Galfers all sucked. Super noisy & squealing when wet, overheating, fading under pressure. The point: bad pads make great hardware suck.

I like to flip my bikes over to work on them BMX style, and this activates/ damages my e-bike controllers. Ideas?

Not a chance, but you have to stand on your head to work on it inverted. 😂

Recommended me a front rotor and pads 😎

Galfer purples are the way to go. Since switching to them, I won't use anything else. Super quiet in all conditions & pretty much fade free. I have a monster commuter bike that weighs 135# fully loaded & many mountain roads to contend with. Descending down one steep hill that is nearly a mile...

I like to flip my bikes over to work on them BMX style, and this activates/ damages my e-bike controllers. Ideas?

I'm old school & still use bar end grips. They allow me to work on my bike upside down & protects other components during the inevitable crash & burn.

Electric mini pumps, do you use them?

Hey Mtnbud... this horse died before you mounted it, time to stop whipping it. 🤣

Electric mini pumps, do you use them?

Nope. Didn't miss your point one iota. I really don't see a battery or bike mfg being overly concerned with this specific issue, as I have already stated, the market for micro pumps is robust. Is the 32-70gms that an 18650/21700 weighs going to bust the bank? If a sh!t ton of riders were...

Electric mini pumps, do you use them?

The 48v motors you want are simply not available in a size that would make this feasible. 12v is the go to for size, torque & speed. You would need an additional DC/DC step down converter to make it work SAFELY. Why reinvent the wheel when the available options for current mini pumps is vast...
