Yeah I'm with you on this one. My chainring and chain are the guards. Never seen the need to run anything and never had an issue. The way I see it a chain guard would only make things lower and consequently easier to hook up

Yes I guess we just dial in to what we have. Here in Rotorua where its not all steeps there are heaps of good trails that the lesser travel seems to thrive on without getting overawed on the bigger stuff. I do enjoy a good Boxxer though. Got one sitting idle at home
