Amflow general questions and answers

I just tried the new version (01.03.0219) on my M1, and unfortunately it still has the "new" issue where it doesn't record your rides anymore. After you finish a ride and press "Stop and Sync," the ride activity disappears.

I guess they were more concerned about making sure the new bikes didn't show the "wrong battery" at Eurobike than fixing the other "minor" issues.
After last update it does not work, yes. By me press "Stop and sync" send the ride to the phone, I see details, no problem. But syncing to Strava does not work again. Nothing. Before the last update everything worked well... :-( And I deleted all rides with open error from the phone, of course...

Well ...... It had to happen. The screen on my PL Carbon Pro has gone blank. The bike works fine, including shifting modes. I just don't know what mode I'm in, or how fast I'm going.

Though I bought it through an authorised dealer in Sydney Australia. I'm going to try and deal with Amflow direct through their support network. I'll let everyone know how the process goes. This should be covered under warranty as I bought the bike in May 2025, and this should be a good test of Amflows support.

I sent the email tonight. 8pm on a Sunday night. We'll see how quickly I hear from them.

Well ...... 2 days later and ...... Nothing !!! I only received the automated response saying they will respond next business day, which was yesterday. And nothing.

I have replied this morning to the automated response. Let's see if that gets a response.

Whilst I'm not concerned yet. Gee it would have been nice if they had responded when they said they would. It was a $14,000 bike. But ...... we move on.

Edit : Reply received. They want me to take it to the dealer. Let's see how that goes. I'll try to book it in.

Further Update : Spoke to my dealer. I need to bring the bike in. It's about 25km away, so I'll take it over Saturday. He says it's the first warranty claim he's had, which I think is impressive. And doesn't expect it to take long to get another screen. There are zero in stock on the Amflow Australia website, so we'll see.

Thankfully I do still run a spare EMTB. The Teewing Flux with the M2S. So whilst I don't need it urgently. I do just want my baby fixed ......

Hello @Amflow_Support . A friend of mine recently bought a PX Carbon. He wants to use it for commuting to and from work, but also for challenging trail riding. That’s how he came up with the idea of using two wheel sets: the original Mullet wheel set for trail/enduro, and a full 29er with XC-style tires for commuting.
Is it possible to create two profiles in the app and save the data for the wheel sets there—like rear wheel diameter and cassette? (Or does he have to enter everything individually every time he switches wheel sets?) Thanks

Just set it to trail combo and leave it like that?
What could possibly go wrong?

probably the speed is displayed incorrectly and the distance is measured incorrectly if the wheel size is not set properly ?
Since the Trail combo is a mullet =27.5 rear wheel, and the other one is a full 29 wheel set = 29er rear. So, different wheel circumferences.

Yeah but that should not be a reason to not do it. :)

Dropped the bike off at the dealer today. Said he should know something by Tuesday. I'll believe that when it happens.

While I was there, I was checking out his stock of bikes. He had a Zendit and Amflow PX in stock, which was interesting. I thought the new M2S motored bikes were really hard to come by. But he said they were not customer bikes, but shop stock.

The Zendit was just gorgeous, and he was trying to sell me on it. Little did he know I had a Teewing Flux sitting in the car, that I was heading to the Park to ride. The fact it was another 75% more than the Flux, didn't help the case he was making. Great bike. But at $17,500, there was no way I was going to buy it over the Flux at $10,000.

He also had a Velduro with a Podium and downhill SRAM transmission.

You can just change it quickly in the settings?

Hi Guys,
I’m planning to buy new Amflow PR, and I would like to swap out brakes, and rotors right away. I’d like to know if speed sensor from M1 is the same as the one on the M2?:
DJI Avinox M2 & M2S Speed Sensor Ring 42 teeth | eBike24
I also want to install spider with bolt-on chainring (104 BCD)—will that fit the new M2 motor?
Amflow DJI Avinox Spider for chainring of Amflow PL Carbon Pro
DJI Avinox Lockring Tool for M1, M2 & M2S Drive | eBike24
Ebike24 told me that parts are different due to the M2S's higher power, but I find that hard to believe, and parts for M2S aren't available yet.
Thanks for help :)

Hi,
Since I've owned this bike, I've had problems with the rear brake. It repeatedly starts vibrating intensely – so much so that the vibrations are clearly noticeable throughout the frame, all the way to the handlebars.I've already tried different brake pads and rotors, unfortunately without success. The vibrations and the associated noises continue to occur regularly. I've owned many mountain bikes, but I've never encountered a problem like this before.
I took a closer look at the brake mount. I noticed (see photos) that the carbon part and the metal threaded part aren't flush. As a result, the +23 brake adapter has a very small contact area, which likely reduces its stability and contributes to the vibrations. For comparison, I checked other bikes, including my Santa Cruz Hightower. On that bike, the carbon part and the metal threaded part are perfectly flush, giving the brake adapter a significantly larger contact area and preventing comparable vibrations.
Does anyone have photos of this area on their bike so I can compare mine? Is the condition of my bike normal, or is it actually a manufacturing defect?

Although nobody seems to care: the seat stay was replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, the shop messed up, or the new stay was also faulty; in any case, a bearing bolt is now broken, and so is the thread in the seat stay. Now they're analyzing who caused the damage. Great. Now the bike is even more broken than before the repair.
At least Amflow was cooperative during the exchange.

By the way: when was the last time Amflow support answered anything here?
