What a load of crap this long and short crap is. I’ve done both and can’t tell if my bottom bracket is in the high or low position. Fact is, it makes “F” all difference but can someone please tell me if my BB is in the high or low position with the linkage pivot in this position

Looks like the stock, short setting to me. But even setting it to Long, only raises the bb by about 4mm.
I have currently mine set to long, dropout 2 and +0.5 headset cup. But might try dropout 3 at some point.

See i thought that would be the long setting effectively raising the BB

According to the manual, Long has the linkage bolt markings/etchings on the seatpost side

Mmm interesting, this is why I think the Manuel is incorrect. I took those link bolts out and when I lift the bike by the saddle the bottom bracket raises up higher and the bolt moves closer to the seat post. That’s why I would say in my photo the linkage is in the long/high position.

Ok I think Ive answered my own question with the help of AI.
So my photo shows the linkage in the long position meaning the BB is in the high position.

I'm not so sure that AI reply is correct.

You have to think about the pivot point on the yoke that connects to the rear shock.
With the linkage in long mode, the yoke is effectively slightly longer

Yeah I know but when I lift the bike by the saddle the bottom bracket moves higher off the ground and that linkage bolt moves closer to the seat post thus making the shock/yolk longer

but moving the pivot point on the yoke closer to the seatpost, makes it shorter, not longer.

Not talking about moving the pivot point closer to the seat post but the bolt that goes into the flip chip like in my first photo. This make the entire shock and yolk longer. Effectively making the shock longer which raises the BB height.
Therefore I’m not saying that the AmFlow Manuel is wrong because i5s ambiguous as to what side the item B linkage pivot goes on.

flipping the linkage bolt changes the pivot point on the yoke.
the short setting makes the yoke shorter.
the long setting makes the yoke longer.

There are no ambiguities. The pictures are clear (to me) as to which way around the linkage pivot bolts fit.

Your photo in the first post shows the yoke linkage pivot in the short setting.
If you flip it, the yoke will effectively be longer due to the pivot point being closer to the end of the arms of the yoke
