Hi guys, I'm currently out in Shanghai at the 2026 China Cycle Expo where I've seen the new prototype Vandal EMTB from Velduro. The Velduro Vandal is an all-mountain bike with up to 152mm of rear wheel travel, a new slimmer frame design (compared to the Rogue) and flip chips for mixed wheels and suspension progression.
The video covers most things and I also chatted with Dan from Velduro who is keen to send me a sample Vandal once they are made available which could be as early as July 2027!
Let me know if you hava any qustions about the bike and I'll do my best to answer them. Cheers :D

That looks excellent! Comes in 2 specs, 800wh and the new 700wh battery. Weights around 20.6kg to 20.8kg which is very good for an AM bike.
As they have a much smaller downtube, I expected them to say it only came with the 700wh battery, but it's interesting that there's an 800wh planned as well.

Its an all mountain/trail bike vs an enduro. I would have assumed a 170/165 needed a burlier frame than a 160/150-145
I'm sure it does, but that doesn't necessitate a larger cross-section down tube. The extra strength required could be achieved in the carbon layup.

A wider cross-section would certainly add considerably more stiffness, so maybe they went for that and a thinner tube wall thickness for less weight? Just curious. Especially since everyone is now so obsessed with downtube aesthetics!

Can someone at the fair take a photo of the technical sheet that is near the bicycle??

Expected retail price, if the Rouge is $13-16k sureeeeellllyyyyy this would be $10-12k? (NZD)

Would really depend on spec levels. I’d expect similar to the Rouge.
They would probably struggle selling that given how flush the Avinox powered or mountain bike market is.
