Hey Everyone,

I picked up a 2024 Heckler SL as a way to get myself back on a bike as soon as possible after spinal fusion surgery. I’m mostly here to find information on how to upgrade the battery and controller.

I’d also like to see what other bikes are out there and feedback on other options out there.

I rode a Heckler SL for 5500 miles, and was very happy with how it handled, the suspension, and the amount of support. However, the Fazua motor started clunking and needed to be replaced. As I had another Fazua bike (Pivot Shuttle SL) that also developed Fazua problems, I decided to sell both. I replaced the Heckler SL with another mullet, a Transition Regulator SX, which has been great. I prefer the cadence-metered support of the Bosch SX, and the noticeably higher peak power output. I've been pleased that the Regulator handles just as well as the Heckler; might jump slightly better.

Welcome to the forums.
Cheers

Are these your spec?
  • Frame: Carbon C or Carbon CC (150mm VPP travel).
  • Motor: Fazua Ride 60, 60Nm torque, 450W max power.
  • Battery: Fazua 430Wh integrated.

The TQ 60 motor has a 580wh battery available. I haven’t heard of a battery upgrade for your SC Fazua 60nm.
